The hair gradients are a cool thing in my opinion, but it feels out of place to just do it on Halloween or any other event. So maybe have a system for dye flowers (get 3 or5 of that color) and have a hair gradient NPC (or maybe Kanao again). They give the flowers and that would be their gradient.
