RPG2 was a free game, but it had lots of gamepasses and reroll options available for purchase. This was the main source of income besides premium payout in terms of RPG; Chainbound won’t have features such as random cosmetic gamepasses or costly options to reroll appearance or skills, as everything will be done ingame similar to how deepwoken is. This means that higoshi needs to make the game paid in order to make a profit and get a reasonable ROI on all the time he spent developing the game.
This would also kill two birds with one stone, as now everyone who can’t afford a 3 dollar robux purchase (usually children) will be price-locked out of the game, keeping it exclusive to the actually good players in the intended age range of about 13+ or more.

I have but i also know who the developer is and how he will abandon it just like hes done with every other instance of him either made game (dsrpg2) and even ones that werent even finished (Hollowfield) 3 bucks yeah and do yk 100% that there wont br any gamepasses or reroll options when? For a majority of GPOs popularity it was paid, then as it started losing its hype they made it free to maintain their player base since the original paid players lost interest, and they needed to open up their options regarding who could play.
