Events are back!

We're relaunching our Discord events today! This February Event will be dedicated to Valentine's Day, and more specifically to Romeo & Juliet, your favorite characters (or at least, I hope so)!

On the agenda: love, laughter, tears and maybe even a few break-ups, but that's part of the game!

The event starts from now until <t:1771628340:f>
Results will be announced on <t:1771862400:f>
With @summer spoke, we'll be streaming the Challenge on Discord on <t:1771250400:f>

Rules

To be qualified:

Never split up!

• Play as Romeo & Juliet
• Every activity and fight must be done together
• Teleportations must occur at the same location (e.g., Sandman’s trips)

Apply these modifiers:

• Single Chapter (Single random Chapter)
• Quick learner (+50% XP gains)
• Solid Heroes (+100% Max Health)
• Disease (Hero healing reduced by 50%)
• Angry Birds (No Raven feathers)

About your entry:

• One entry per duo composed of at least 1 video
• Record your points of view from the Lobby until the Result Screen (show your stats and those of your teammate)
• Voice chat is not mandatory but appreciated (and more fun!)
• Upload the video to YouTube (public or unlisted, but not private) using the # RavenswatchValentineChallenge and share it in this channel.
• You can have as many Valentines as you want...

Miscellaneous:

• The party must be composed of no more than two players (Romeo & Juliet).
• The difficulty level is up to you (the higher, the better the final score).
• You can use the Altar of Heroes a maximum of three times (no feathers will be recovered due to the Angry Birds modifier).

EARN AS MANY POINTS AS YOU CAN

Optional objectives

Get bonus points:

• Wear the Signature Outfits (Groom and Bride) = 25 points
• Per Talent linked to TRAIT (at the end of the run) = 25 points
• Choose Kiss the Bride and Kiss the Groom as Starting Talents = 50 points
• Per use of Wild Waltz (Ultimate) = 50 points
• Complete the Quest = 100 points
• Equip a matching band (2x Ring of Dispel or 2x Nibelungen Ring) = 100 points
• Unlock something with a Key = 100 points
• Use NO Health fountain = 150 points
• NO Deathdoors = 150 points
• Complete a Magical Object collection = 150 points (one time)
• Kill the Master Nightmare with a SPECIAL (Passionate Kiss) = 200 points
• Create a “Kiss Cam” edit (Passionate Kiss best-of) = 200 points
• Play with your actual partner = 0 points (but GG)

FIXED TOTAL = 1225 points

Due to the random nature of the challenge and the fact that console players would have more difficulty sharing videos of their runs, there are no prizes to be won for this event. However, you will still receive a temporary shiny Discord role to make you stand out on the server until the next event!

The idea of a challenge is always good, but a voucher award would be much better. Every month on my server I do challenges with a prize equivalent to 10$ for the winner. At least some key to the game could be offered to the winner.

What does that spreadsheet mean? Are we supposed to use it and hope no one edits our entries?

Pretty sure they are going to calculate the points for you, and the sheet is in VIEW only mode

makes sense however if the score is only tallied at the end via video then if you intend to try more than once then you must wait to submit until you think you have the best score you can get and no way to look at the standings to see what you re up against.

This is explained at the end of the announcement msg:

We can distribute a few keys but we want to be fair to console players, as recording gameplay on consoles is a more complex task than on PC.

Simply put the link of your YouTube (or another platform but not directly to Discord) video here, and MXiaa and I will complete the spreadsheet!
On the spread sheet, you can correct us if we're wrong or just check your score or other people scores, if you want to try the challenge again, etc...
You also can submit multiple times with the same duo (or another one). We'll just have to actualize your score.

If I may suggest, for this and future events: I think we're all here on Discord and on your social media in general because we love this game! 😄 So anyone who attends this type of event is definitely a big fan. Rather than receiving game keys or cash prizes, I think a personalized prize would be much more rewarding, perhaps a graphic tag (so three in total for the three teams on the podium) created by the game's creators with the winners' nicknames, the name of the event, and a small signed dedication to authenticate it! It would certainly be less expensive for you than real awards and much more appreciable for us big fans. Of all the tournaments ( and challenges ) I've participated in, the ones I remember most fondly aren't the wins like money or games but the more personal ones like plaques, dedications, small sketches, etc
Think about it 😃

Entre la dernière game faite le 20 à 1h30 du matin, le montage commencé le soir-même à 21h10 (avec dérush) + le problème de "pas de son à l'export", la vidéo a réussi à sortir 1 minute avant la fin du temps imparti qu'on avait en tête 😭😂

Heureusement que j'ai un bon PC, que je sais d'où venait les problèmes et que ma connexion est bonne

What I took away from it:

• So many waltzes that I had to use a counter page on my 2nd screen because I had no fingers left 💃
• Funny edits with amazing kiss cams 💏
• Some Passionate Kiss oversights when killing the boss too quickly 😬
• People talking alone in their vids for Valentine's Day 😔
• But above all, only victories. Yet another proof that love always wins
