#Unable to connect bedrock 1.21.101 on Spigot 1.21.8

Hello, I have an issue with log in from a minecraft bedrock version 1.21.101 (what is the newest one) to my minecraft Java Spigot Server 1.21.8. The Dump can be found here:

What I try to do: I start the minecraft bedrock version, go to server and on a Geyser-Server. From there I choose my server. I then getting the error message "You are using an unsupported Minecraft version!". But Bedrock 1.21.101 should be supported, as far as I see it.

What I tried to fix it: Disable all Plugins (only Geyser and ViaVersion where enabled), updating server (was before 1.18.1) and Plugins to the newest version, changing Java from Java 8 to Java 21.

Any Ideas, why this isn't working anymore? Before it worked without issues for years. I'm happy for any help. 😊

Find the plugin in the control panel and restart your server. IP and port are the same as Java.

I tried that already or do I need to uninstall the plugin and reinstall it from the control panel? 🤔

probably that, my guess is they do some custom configurations in the background

if the one you get is outdated, at that point you should be able to replace the jar file with no issue

interesting it didn't auto configure, enable clone-remote-port in the Geyser config and then try join with your java IP and port

So this isn't supposed to be, right? The actually Geyser version should work with bedrock 1.21.101? 🤔

So, I have created a backup and reinstalled the game. The only Plugin I used now was the Greyser and it seems to work. But I don't know why.

You’re welcome to try these troubleshooting steps above for server hostings. However, I recommend you directly contact zap-hosting for assistance with Geyser on their servers

I fixed it with the following workaround:

  1. Shutdown Server and create backup via Webinterface from zap-hosting
  2. Reinstalled the actually Minecraft Java version and it wipes all files
  3. Installing Geyser, ViaVersion and ViaBackwards via the Webinterface from zap-hosting
  4. Didn't changed any settings and starting the server.
  5. Login on the Server, everything worked fine.
  6. Shutdown the server, copy the Plugin files to my pc.
  7. Reload my backup from before and uploaded the Plugin files.
  8. Starting the server and it worked as it should be.

Hopefully this also will help other with the same issue. 😊
