weird, because im running it on 17 and it was working on java before and after installing geyser, plus this issue is only happening with one user, the other user can get into the server but gets booted after a couple minutes

  1. You're on Java 21 (don't change that)
  2. Could you get some logs where a bedrock player was kicked out?
civic plover
#

it was always say bedrock client timing out

blazing mica
#

That usually indicates just a bad connection

civic plover
#

i assumed due to them not having good internet, but it doesn't explain why i cant load in at all when i have good internet

#

i load perfectly on java, the issue only lies in bedrock

Unable to connect to world just means the client was unable to make a connection with the server

# blazing mica Unable to connect to world just means the client was unable to make a connection...
Found errors in the log!

See below for details and possible fixes

Unable to connect to world

This means that the Bedrock client cannot find the server specified.
If you have not already, follow our setup instructions. Then, check the server console for any errors.
To verify Bedrock clients can connect, you can try running the geyser connectiontest <ip> <port> command with your server IP and Geyser port.

Additionally, there are various fixes for this on our wiki, please see here.

do you use a domain?

civic plover
#

the ip used is provided by playit

blazing mica
#

I see

#

Try using the IP and port you'd find here

civic plover
#

shared ip?

blazing mica
#

sometimes the main one just doesn't cooperate

blazing mica
civic plover
#

#

#

civic plover
#

blazing mica
#

civic plover

blazing mica

blazing mica

yeah, really does sound like unstable network

civic plover
#

im not sure, its plugged directly into the router, no other device is having communication issues nor is java. this issue is only with bedrock

blazing mica
#

UDP is notorious for being picky

civic plover
#

i understand, but this is a widely reported issue with geyser not working on bedrock

blazing mica
#

"Your version is not supported" isn't an issue with Geyser, just networking issues

#

so yes it's wildly reported, but we just can't do anything about it besides guide users to setup their network correctly

civic plover
#

in this instance how would you go about setting up the network?

blazing mica
#

I'm not a networking expert unfortunately

civic plover
#

is there anything on your site to assist with this?

blazing mica
#

The setup guide? That's about it really

ok, in situations like this were there times you guys were successful in troubleshooting the issue? if so what steps did you have the user do?

Here’s a regular port forwarding guide if you wish to do that:
