#Java players cant join with regular ip but can join with dynamic ip
23 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Geyser does not modify server behaviour, if this happens to a java player then it won't be the fault of Geyser
it only happens when i install geyser plugin it works fine when i remove the geyser plugin
This is not possible, Geyser simply does not interfere with java traffic
at least not in this sense
This shows that the server didn't respond at all which Geyser definitely can't cause
it's a translation layer and so doesn't need to touch java's networking side as much, just emulating it
Which host are you using?
sorry i forgot to mention, its aternos
Are you trying to join on PojavLauncher by any chance?
no no, i'm using the orginal minecraft
on pc
alr just checking, since android networking is a bit odd and I've seen similar behaviour
does the issue persist if you put StaticIP:Port?
yes it rarely lets you join but when i put dynamic ip it always works
but on bedrock you can join normally with static ip
Also, I do believe this is on Aternos' side, sounds like their static IP isn't setup correctly for TCP on your server
I see, so using dynamic ip is the only solution
for now, you could contact Aternos and describe the issue, they're pretty cool in my experience and will probably be able to help
i did, they told me to use dynamic ip or change the dns to google dns which is fine by me but my friends don't want to use google dns
changing dns seems to work normally
There isn't much more you can do then, if Google DNS works then it's definitely some weird obscure networking issue, likely on the default DNS that you and your friends use
I see thanks for the help nova
