#Custom names not appearing on Player heads

Server member player heads used to say “<username>’s head” ( RapidHendo’s Head)
now just appears as “Player Head”

VanillaTweaks More mob heads - heads used to show “<mob> head” (Salmon Head)
Again also appearing as “Player Head”

Java accounts can still see the custom names so I assume that the issue lies with Geyser no longer passing the custom name field through to bedrock.

Run geyser dump (server console) / /geyser dump (ingame chat) on your Geyser instance or server, then copy the link it will give you and paste it here. A Geyser dump is a way of providing us with a bunch of useful information about your server and Geyser config. This doesn't include any IPs or sensitive data.

Possible problems:

  • Your server is running inside a docker container, please make sure the Geyser port (using UDP) is exported out to the host. If you're using Pterodactyl panel then you need to make sure you have allocated the port to the server.
