On my server, a player has reported not being able to see anything on the nether roof, though they can place blocks. I've had the setting to allow bedrock edition players to use the roof on for a long time, and it has worked before now. I tried updating to the latest 1.21.1 build, which did not fix the issue.

When I downloaded the latest geyser version it told me to update the server to 1.21.3, which is not an option as my plugins have not updated.
This was the disconnect message when I updated geyser, I'm also using viaversion and viabackwards which are installed to the server, not the proxy
The nether is using Amplified Nether, which moves the bedrock roof to 256, and provides 128 blocks above that to build, but players have previously been able to use the roof in this configuration
Theres a config option to enable bedrock players to see above the nether roof
Your proxy needs to support java 1.21.3 for the latest geyser version to work
Yes, as stated in my post I've had it on for a while
Thanks for the help, and I've updated successfully, but I still have the issue
Can you send another dump showing that you’ve updated?

@flint rune there ya go
Have you tested nether roof building with this latest update?
Yes, I'm unable to build or see blocks now. I didn't test building before, but the other person was also on mobile and able to
are you using any plugins that modify the nether on your backend server/s?
were you connected to the server on bedrock when taking this geyser dump?
I was not, there was one Java player online
Can you join the server on Bedrock, and create & send a new geyser dump while logged in with bedrock?
I've just gone out of town for Thanksgiving, I can probably do it remotely but it'll take a few hours until I have time. I'll ping once I'm able to get that

This is with a bedrock edition player connected, and in the nether if that matters

interesting
Can 1.21.3 Java players build on the roof?
Further; which y coordinate is that on the roof? Just trying to figure out if our workaround is maybe at its limit
yes, they can
the roof starts at y=256
you make a good point, it maybe a limit of the workaround
that would be the issue - the workaround can extend the height to 256, but not higher
(usually, the nether roof is at 128)
Just saw this rn, would it best to remove Amplified Nether in my world’s DP before adding Geyser? (Since bedrock players won’t be able access extended nether area?)
@hybrid loom
why are we pinging random people in a random support thread..?
He's a server owner. Thought this would be a nice idea to add to ours.
