I'm trying to connect from bedrock but it says Unable to connect to world. At the same time, everything worked for me before, I even installed the geyser on a different port. I read the posts and some say to disable the firewall, but I have hosting and I can’t enter the command into start-up, please help.

Found errors in the log!

See below for details and possible fixes

Unable to connect to world

This means that the Bedrock client cannot find the server specified.
If you have not already, follow our setup instructions. Then, check the server console for any errors.
To verify Bedrock clients can connect, you can try running the geyser connectiontest <ip>:<port> command with your server IP and Geyser port.

Additionally, there are various fixes for this on our wiki, please see here.

hello?

what am I supposed to do? Everything seems to be normal

obsidian birch
#

Which server hosting provider are you using?

obsidian birch
#

what's that? mind sending a link?

obsidian birch
#

okay that seems like a normal vps

#

which portforwarding rules did you set up?

hexed shore
# obsidian birch which portforwarding rules did you set up?

bedrock:

port: 25621 (this is an open port, it is not occupied by anything, but I can put it on the Java port)
clone-remote-port: false
enable-proxy-protocol: false

remote:

address: auto
port: 25635
auth-type: floodgate
allow-password-authentication: true
use-proxy-protocol: false
forward-hostname: false

obsidian birch
#

that is not a portforwarding rule

hexed shore
obsidian birch
#

well are you renting a VPS from that company, or a "minecraft server" type?
if it's a VPS, i'd assume that you'd be familiar with portforwarding

hexed shore
#

Network?

obsidian birch
#

mind sharing the ip/port here?

hexed shore
#

sure

obsidian birch
#

Try enabling clone-remote-port in the config, then restart and try connecting with the java ip/port

hexed shore
#

okay

rough flameBOT
obsidian birch
#

in that case, contact your server hosting provider and ask them to give you a port with UDP traffic enabled, and use that

hexed shore
#

okay

hexed shore
obsidian birch
#

clearly that's untrue if you're not able to connect :p

hexed shore
#

I used it before and it worked very well

obsidian birch
#

when did it stop working?

#

the only thing we added recently was an additional raknet security layer to prevent ip spoofing, that currently clashes with the OVH game firewall. But, unless your server hosting provider has a raknet-level ddos protection/firewall, that should not be the issue

hexed shore
# obsidian birch when did it stop working?

Well, somewhere at the end of February I closed the server on which the geyser was working and then I turned it off. I switched to a different tariff at the end of April and then it stopped working

!!dump please send a new geyser dump, just to be sure

# obsidian birch !!dump please send a new geyser dump, just to be sure

Run geyser dump (server console) / /geyser dump (ingame chat) on your Geyser instance or server, then copy the link it will give you and paste it here. A Geyser dump is a way of providing us with a bunch of useful information about your server and Geyser config. This doesn't include any IPs or sensitive data.

#

are you seeing anything in your server console when you try to connect?

obsidian birch
#

all i can see in the dump is that Geyser isn't receiving any connection attempts, which indicates that your server host has a firewall rule that's blocking any and all connections to Geyser

hexed shore
#

what if I install the old version of the geyser?

obsidian birch
#

that won't change anything, since Geyser isn't receiving anything at all

hexed shore
#

will it work?

obsidian birch
#

this connectionAttempts field would have increased even if Geyser ended up blocking the connection with that new security layer

#

so if it's zero after you tried connecting, geyser simply doesnt receive anything, and your host is blocking it

hexed shore
#

So the only way out is to ask your provider to disable the firewall?

obsidian birch
#

well, not the entire firewall, just an exception for the port Geyser runs on

hexed shore
#

okay

rough flameBOT
hexed shore
#

or protection?

obsidian birch
#

well that depends on what exactly is blocking UDP connections

hexed shore
obsidian birch
#

well idk what to tell you.. you've seen it yourself, geyser isnt receiving packets

please create your own posts. "Unable to connect" is about the most generic error message you can get, so it doesn't make sense to have multiple people in the same post as the solution is probably different for every one of you
