#Chunks not loading on Bedrock

Hi. I'm having an ongoing issue that seems to cause chunks to not load in correctly for Bedrock players. This happens in the Overworld, Nether, and the End. I can fix this by relogging. I can walk on the chunks, break blocks, etc, but I can't see anything.

I'm running GeyserMC through a velocity proxy. Here's the Geyser dump for that:

https://dump.geysermc.org/n9MtXYaRcAoZ7QnJDaFi7PsRe1TgSc6p

The only plugins running on the proxy itself are Geyser, Floodgate, and LuckPerms. The paper server is running several more plugins:

./AxMinions-1.0.6-all.jar
./BasicQuests-0.5.jar
./Brewery-3.1.7.jar
./Carz-7.2.jar
./Chunky-1.3.92.jar
./ControlPlayer.jar
./CoreProtect-22.2.jar
./Drugs-v.1.6.jar
./floodgate-spigot.jar
./GeyserHacks.jar
./GSit-1.7.0.jar
./ImageMapRenderer-4.9.jar
./InventoryRollbackPlus-1.6.14.jar
./LeashPlayers-1.7.jar
./LibsDisguises-10.0.42-Free.jar
./LuckPerms-Bukkit-5.4.119.jar
./MCDash-1.1.7.jar
./Morph-3.4.jar
./PlaceholderAPI-2.11.5.jar
./ProtocolLib.jar
./StoneDamager-1.3.1.jar
./TimeManager-1.8.2.jar
./TrollDeluxe-0.9.4.jar
./vane-admin-1.14.0.jar
./vane-core-1.14.0.jar
./vane-enchantments-1.14.0.jar
./vane-portals-1.14.0.jar
./vane-trifles-1.14.0.jar
./Veinminer-1.2.0.jar
./znpcs-4.6.jar

I've ensured Java, paper, velocity, geyser, floodgate, and the bedrock client were up to date. I've also tried increasing the render distance on both the server and the client.

Huh odd

#

There's a bug like this on spigot, fabric, and old versions of paper (certainly not 1.20.4) where the server sends chunks outside the requested render distance of the client, which Java can tolerate but it causes bedrock chunk loading to break

#

So only when the server render distance is larger than the client render distance

#

If you set the server render distance a few chunks lower than the render distance on the bedrock client does it still happen?

nocturne glen
#

that might be a decent compromise

That's interesting that you're having that bug on 1.20.4 though

Run geyser dump (server console) / /geyser dump (ingame chat) on your Geyser instance or server, then copy the link it will give you and paste it here. A Geyser dump is a way of providing us with a bunch of useful information about your server and Geyser config. This doesn't include any IPs or sensitive data.
