Ok, so I’m running a personal server on my home network for me and my friends. I have geyser, floodgate, and MCxboxbroadcast installed on my server and I’m able to connect on my local network, but When my friends and I try connecting from outside the network, I get the message
“[Geyser-Spigot] /xxx.xxx.xx.xx:port tried to connect!” Repeatedly.

Looks like this:
[Geyser-Spigot] /xxx.xxx.xx.xx:port tried to connect!
[Geyser-Spigot] /xxx.xxx.xx.xx:port tried to connect!
[Geyser-Spigot] /xxx.xxx.xx.xx:port tried to connect!
[Geyser-Spigot] /xxx.xxx.xx.xx:port tried to connect!
[Geyser-Spigot] /xxx.xxx.xx.xx:port tried to connect!
[Geyser-Spigot] /xxx.xxx.xx.xx:port tried to connect!

I have the default java and bedrock ports open on my network and I’m able to connect on java from outside perfectly fine. I haven’t been able to find anything online specific to my situation. Any help is appreciated.

when doing a connection test I get the error message: "connection timed out" but I don't know why

Send an image of your port forwarding rules

I tried deleting and regenerating the floodgate key.pem file bc I saw something online mentioning that. It worked initially and I was able to join from outside, but then a couple minutes later it stopped working and I had the message "[Geyser-Spigot] /xxx.xxx.xx.xx:port tried to connect!" repeating again.

If on the client end they're getting unable to connect to world this indicates that the outgoing traffic is being lost. If you have a bedrock device I'd try connecting on the local network via the local IP and seeing if that works.

yeah connections work on bedrock when using the local IP address.

#

and when I turn on debug mode I can see my device from outside the network pinging the server.

If you didn't have that, then that would mean the traffic isn't reaching the server. But since you do, that's not the case.

So I need to change the behaviour of my router?

Yes. It is confusing

Have you had multiple people outside the network try to connect to it or just one?

I’ve had multiple Java clients connect successfully. I only have one player on bedrock from outside my network and they used to be able to connect. Same with myself from different locations and using VPN.

To check whether Bedrock players can connect or if port forwarding for Geyser is working, run the following command in your Minecraft server console:

geyser connectiontest <ip>:<port>

For example, if your server is running on the IP 12.34.56.78 and port 19132, you would run geyser connectiontest 12.34.56.78:19132.

Does this show your server is reachable?

Nope, when I do a connection test, it tells me that my server may be unreachable, and I get the error message: "connection timed out"

Idk what you could do other than contact your ISP
