Hey everyone! I have an Akko SPR67 and the “8”, “I”, “k”, and “m” keys just stop working pretty often. If I unplug my USB-C and the. Replug it in, it starts to work, but like 15 minutes later, I have to do it again. I’ve tried swapping out the switches and it doesn’t affect anything.

emailed their support and they said seems like a PCB issue but they can’t replace it as they don’t have any left.

Has anyone ever experienced this with the same or other PCBs and was able to fix it?

Or is it time to get a new build going?

Thanks for any advice or help you can offer.

Might get better help in keyboard help, but you may be able to just get another 1.2 PCB elsewhere.

Thanks to the nice people in Alex’s chat, I have a small update for anyone in this situation in the future.

It’s not fixed but the time between issues has increased from every 15 minutes to about once every other session.

Steps I took to help alleviate the issue (Not all are probably necessary, I just did all of em)
1: Removed my tape mod and Case foam
2: Cleaned the whole board
3: Replugged the Dodder-board
4: Replaced the springs with the 230g springs

The current theory (could be super wrong it’s just a theory) is that there is a tiny hairpin crack in the PCB which is causing the column trace for those keys to open when it flexes too much. Making the stiffer springs alleviate the issue by lessening the flex.
