The devs would like YOUR help to optimise the Cairo map, if you encounter pathing issues, please screenshot and share them here, ideally with the coordinates included in the screenshot.

Just the overall visibility of the roads is bad, ill try to find some examples

It's technically all sand area, the grass area is easily seen but in the sand area you gotta look real good. Maybe give the roads a darker or even lighter color, now it blends in way to good

That's probably the easiest solution 😅 it's Cairo so sand is required, just the roads are barely visible

Instead of searching for the fast direct path. It’s wanting to take units along the roads for some reason. So if you’re not traveling short distances the groups kind of do what they want over two turrets before falling in line.

The following road paths is fine over long distances but when going over 2-3 turrets it should just be shortest route possible

Noticed this frequently and was confused why. Typically has issues when encountering any obstacles it doesn’t go back on course after passing. Will try and catch a screenshot next time. Just had it occur right before seeing post.

I'd say out of all maps this sucks the most, it doesn't help at all how matchmaking puts you together with alliances that are not in your time zone and do nothing. Coalitions is just bs. Aegan had offered a very nice system regarding Coalition making. I would rather see that in every conquest. Now to the map, Cairo has been by far our most bad lvl 4 so far, every time we have to play it. I think it is a very restrictive map compared to others, that also means far less action or just with maybe one or two (or none) alliances depending on eventuallities. I have to literally zoom in to MAYBE see the road connecting to anything, path-making is still not great yet and i questioned why the units have gone they way they did but other than that not too bad. Generally this map fells very linear and the extra buildings feel like giving no real value except some extras you might or might not do. If you want, fights do not expand on the linear direction, at least I did not see much of it this time. The Map (Conquest Cairo) feels like some thoughts went into it, for it being one of the first lvl 4's but it screams for a rework of the entire map since it got almost no know-how from later Released maps

But the pathfinding issue is in all conquests. Biggest issue in Cairo is the bad visibility of the roads connecting villages

All the paths in « warpath » suck… it’s been like that since day 1…

10 times a day you need to manually move your troops so they don’t waste precious minutes

Overall the pathfinders is better than day 1 but still crazy sometimes. Short ways are good but long ways the unit choose crazy ways to drive.

It's because the grids are hexagonal, it makes it glitch eventually. (Atleast that's what I heard, maybe Alex can confirm or deny it)

The coding of the game is poorly optimised on many fronts, performance is probably the worst we’ve seeing in the last couple of months I’d say, specially in combat situations or the likes of can be determinant, but that to another topic of discussion

I don’t have a picture, but instead of going straight to it (Completely unobstructed path), it decides to go around a sand dune-mountain range, and makes what could’ve been 5 minutes walk to 25 minutes

We cannot distinguish the road paths. It cannot be seen on the sand. Very hard to find the preferred path under these circumstances

I don’t have any photos or videos but I’ve seen trucks and units get completely stuck on the map and the only way to bring them back is retraining them or airlifting

Some have picturese maybe i can head back to the same area later, but when sending trucks or to resources that were to the northeast, the trucks headed northwest m putting them close to enemy territory. Then they would make a sharp turn northeast. I tried it a few times with different resource sites, and it kept happening.

Regarding the transportation issue, you should compensate players by giving them museum coupons to make up for the inconvenience, allowing them to repaint the damaged trucks.

Optimize the game fix the big lag in big battles this is unbelievable with all the updates still no fix, others games FPS doesn't drop or gets lagging

Why the truck goes right next to level 11 bunker and level 8 oil collection tile if you drive manually? Once again, mountain is still there. Doesn’t need to go all the way up to Moscow 5000kms away from that mountain is all I am saying.

The pathing is redicolous and surely not limited to Cairo😂 even in short range, like maybe 10-20 km it is impossible for a truck to go a straight line, manually it kinda works

Units are confused when going back in base. It's like they keep telling each other "you go inside first" "no you go in first".
Also raven units of low levels appear in mass on the map all of the sudden.

This was from a coordinated march by AG. I didn’t capture the beginning, but you can see how a few deviated from the group by a large margin and are apparently going to swim across the river

The units started together. I noted that I did not get the screenshot at the beginning because debugging a game I pay good money for is not my main priority. I pay good money so presumably someone else is worrying about these things and fixing them before they hit the release date

Maybe you are right on all this because I'm no techie by any means but I've played this game for 4 years and it's just hard for me to believe lilith made this game but can't fix these couple of issues. I don't see other games with these problems

It's all good and I can understand your frustration I don't mind paying for things I know this is business for them. I just don't understand out of all the issues this has they could fixed by now. Instead there's always new events but no fixes or little compared to the 4 yr problems. Again I'm no techie so I can't be positive how it all works. I do thank you for the info for sure man.
