#Oops, all One Piece

I finally finished the live action One Piece. I will say it was really enjoyable. I was kind of surprised at the things they changed slightly. Especially the sub plot with Koby and the marines. That was a welcome change.
I agree completely!! It took a bit to get used to some of the changes, but they all made sense in the context of the live action. Fleshing out Koby's plot was definitely my favorite change they made!
Loved the live action
What do you think they will do with Chopper when they get to season 2?
||I will say that I was disappointed that Jango wasn't in the live action series, and that Luffy never got to fight Don Krieg. ||
I put that under a spoiler tag for the people who hasn't seen the live action series yet
I'm scared for cg Chopper... I can't imagine any other way to do it that would be any less awful lmao
Unless you mean for his plot! For that, I have no clue, all the changes caught me by surprise haha
||I was SO sad we didn't have Jango, he's such a a fun character 😭 I kind of get it, to cut down on time.... But man, he's one of the best characters in OP
As for Don Kreig, I thought it was HILARIOUS he was dealt with off screen, that was outrageous 😂😂||
I mean how he will be portrayed as a character
I hope he’s actually portrayed cute. I don’t want another movie sonic problem.
Oh man I hope he's portrayed as the cute and silly little guy he is!
I don't know what the sonic movie problem is tbh (thankfully)
I can't imagine how they'd mess up chopper though... Make him too serious I guess? That would be unfortunate
Or too silly and not enough cute, I could see that happening
So how far are you into the One Piece Manga and/or Anime? I’m currently on episode 156
And does anyone here read the manga?
I'm caught up with the anime
Been watching it since 2014
Every now and then I consider reading the manga too, but then I remember how long it took to get this far... Lmao
I like reading the manga just not when there's filler
The translation errors are fun tho
Filler? In the manga? Everything that happens in the manga is canon, so there is no filler as far as I know
2014? I started watching it in 2021
"filler" like some of the arcs that I'm just like 🥱 (that one with the foxy pirates for example)
Mf looks like count chocola
FR 😭
You mean Long Ring Long Land?
I still don’t understand why people don’t like this arc. I haven’t seen it, but I know it’s one of the lighter arcs with relatively lower stakes.
This is a problem people also have with the lighter episodes of western animated series like Gravity Falls or The Owl House.
Someone made a good point about these kinds of episodes and arcs. They said that if every episode and/or arc was a super serious high stakes one, none of them would be.
true true
Tv Tropes mention how a common meme in the One Piece community is how characters will only die in flashbacks. I honestly wonder if that was intended or not.
I’m not saying this is the case, but sometimes I feel like Oda is to chicken to kill off actual established characters
I don’t expect characters to drop like flies in every episode, and one could argue that the reason characters don’t die in the “present day” as often is simply because that’s not the kind of story Oda is trying to tell.
Look at this cool One Piece thing I got from a Gacha machine
Mushroom 🗣️ 📢 🔊
Totally
They have seven other designs. The weird thing is that it’s only up to the Alabasta Saga when it comes to selecting the scenes. Probably because this set came out during the Alabasta Saga
One Piece spoilers even though everyone's probably gotten past this
Took me a second to realize|| Blueno just fainted and Luffy didn't pull a skidoosh move|| 😭
Okay why are one piece characters so fucking goofy looking 😭
TRUE 😭
Your either a normalish looking human or a god damn gremlin from space (optional: who is also extremely fat)
So you know how people like to joke about how the One Piece episode titles spoil the episodes (probably in an unintentional way). Well, I just came across one of those episodes that spoiled the ending
I’m not going to say which episode because I don’t want others to get spoiled
That is so cool!!!
Do you know who drew that?
I can check pinterest at some point
ok I guess there's no linked artist
more pinterest sillies
Has anyone tried to look up the website? I tried and it redirected me to crunchyroll
Who here got caught up on One Piece the quickest?
i finished the series in 1 DAY
silly one piece reference
I get it
I feel like redrawing this with One Piece characters, but who would you want to see hold up the sign?
Also, has anyone heard of the Odex One Piece dub? It's a Singaporean English dub that is far worse than what 4Kids did to One Piece.
aint no way there's something worse than the 4kids pirate rap
But there is
The weirdest part is how this dub makes references to real life people like Micheal Jackson and Christopher Columbus
Also, this only goes up to episode 104 (of the Japanese broadcast)
Meaning that the Alabasta Arc is unfinished. At least the 4Kids dub actually got to the end of the Alabasta Arc
Also, is it Alabasta or Arabasta? It’s been referred to as those two spellings
afaik it's Alabasta? Something something weird english
yk like how in the english translation of the manga (or atleast the color edition) they call Enel Eneru
I thought it would be funny to draw the Strawhats in the South Park Style
Mainly because Chopper is Canadian
So he should be looking like Ike
I was at Wonder Con today and I met the voices the Luffy and Chopper from the 4Kids dub
I have officially seen 2/11 of the One Piece anime
It took me three years to get there
And that is counting the filler episodes and arcs too
One Piece is ending this year and makes me sad because I wish I got into it sooner. It would have been great to more caught up with the series at this point
One Piece is definitely not ending this year, don't worry
But it is in its final saga
not if I have anything to say about it
I was watching the G-8 filler arc and it made me realize why filler arcs (and episodes) anime aren’t really the best received. There are literally no stakes due to them being non-canon storylines. You know for a fact they’re probably going to make it out with no trouble way before what’s at stake is actually established.
Just started the Long Ring Long Land Arc. The Funimation dub got rid of Dofalmingo's iconic laugh
Are we still one-ing the piece
Is anyone still on this channel?
does anyone like long ring long land
