also, could you mark which ones have a running main plot line/arc perhaps? I understand if that’s too much of course. You could just do an indicator like an emoji or “[has plot]” etc. though again I totally understand if you don’t wanna do that

all of them have continuity and a bit of plot (stuff like flashbacks and origin episodes) but only kid cosmic and maomao have real overarching plot I believe

a lot of TV shows have every episode be relevant to the big plot/arc but I’ve noticed it’s more common in cartoons to have occasional really plot important episodes so yeah there’s a word for it I guess yay hooray yippee I guess

I started watching Gravity Falls last year and I realized how stupid that mentality is.

I’m still watching it, on episode 6 of season 2.

The thing that gets me the most is that the only reason I passed up genuinely good shows like Gravity Falls or The Owl House was just because they had scenes and moments that took themselves more seriously than how the show usually is.

Why exactly was the Owl House cancelled again? I feel like there really isn’t any good reason for a show to be cancelled. It’s always because the executives don’t see the show as “marketable” anymore.
