A knowledge game in what i mean is that you're basically learning patterns and how to react based on them and at some point you have to know what things are before you see them aka attack patterns and boss sequences
A game where failure comes into play to learn
a game that is very difficult to "sight-read"

if you want any of the doujin fan games I'd say pick a genre you like
if you like mario play Super Marisa World or any of thoses

6 wasn’t on steam and I have a steamdeck so that kinda messed things up but I got the hero of ice fairy which is a fan game but I really liked the demo and i think it’s cool but now the game isn’t working 😭

What tohroryg game I play for first games
I started with Touhou 10 (mountain of faith) and I think that was a good start since it’s one of the easier ones
Also if you get tired of dying over and over you can just use the Marisa b glitch and kill everyone in seconds
