every time im at an airport waiting for a flight i get peanut butter M&Ms. I'm not sure when this started, I don't even think peanut butter M&Ms are my favorite candy, but at some point it just became a ritual of buying peanut butter M&Ms at a Hudson News store. I don't eat them right away, I just put them in a specific pocket of my backpack and forget about them until mid-flight when a flight attendants gives me a snack. I don't really like small pretzels that much, but this interaction reminds me that I have peanut butter M&Ms in my backpack, and it feels like I got a Snack Upgrade on my flight without paying extra. I usually eat 1/4 to 1/2 the bag (I can't eat a whole bag of candy thats ridiculous), and for the next couple days after my flight I'll slowly finish the bag of peanut butter M&Ms, only taking out 1-2 each time i remember their existence in my backpack, until the bag is empty. Again, they're not my favorite candy, but its the only candy I have a specific personal ritual around so I guess that makes them special to a certain degree.
