I need help with my Gamesir controller with analog bumpers bound to brake and spoilers. The first time I press them, the spoiler/brake strength correctly goes to its dynamic strength position depending on how hard I press. however right after that, it will reset to 50% strength when I let go of either buttons. how do i fix this?
#analog bumpers on controller has neutral axis stuck to 50%

*analog triggers
Does Mobiflight see these bumpers as analog axis inputs? If so, what is the range of values received by Mobiflight?
Show screenshots of the input config with the code box open
also if you enable log, with "[x] log joystick axis" (or whatever the exact wording is) it will show you the values your controller gives.
Are you doing this in MobiFlight or is this happening in the sim settings / joystick configuration in windows?
To help diagnose your problem we need to see your MobiFlight logs. Follow these steps to share them: Providing logs from MobiFlight
uh i didnt use mobiflight for this yet, i thought if i had mobiflight issues i'd post it in the #1028767888242376794 forum
i didnt see any controller support available for mobiflight so i only tried base settings and another software called axis and ohs which could not fix this
this is for a third party gamepad controller with analog triggers i want to bind to spoilers and brake
well, this is a mobiflight discord, so you likely have better luck on that topic elsewhere, maybe at the manufacturers community forum or similar?
not sure if people really have the same controller and also the same kind of issue and even know a solution to it - chances might be slim with that here
well i was hoping it was a setting i overlooked in-game or something
cause analog triggers are not really a rare feature in controllers. hell even the playstation dualsense have analog triggers, and their dualshock 3's have analog buttons...
the manufacturer's software and other games detect no press as 0%, and max press at 100%. only msfs for some reason detects no press at 50%. even rudder controls (what it defaults to) detects it as 0-100% fine but not brakes/spoilers
Mobiflight can work with analog axes in joystick controlers, but you already said you are not using Mobiflight.
oh no i tried it in the past but couldnt figure out where to set up controllers
doesnt pick it up at all
And it is enabled in the joysticks list page in Mobiflight?
Mobiflight can generally detect and use most HID joysticks
where do i check that
Look in Extras - Settings - Peripherals
I don't currently have any joysticks connected to my PC, but the list should appear in the left side box.
nope
I guess your device is not a HID joystick.
Does it come up in the windows game controlers app?
it does
actually
in-game it detects 3, the actual controller and 2 of these "dongle" entries
the 3rd actual controller doesnt appear here i dont think
Maybe it is not classified as joystick by Windows.
so theres nothingi can do then?
nothing in-game that makes the neutral zone 0% instead of 50%?
We don't know how that device works or how to manage it? Maybe with the manufacturers app? I have never used one so it's just a guess
usually game controllers are HID joysticks that should work in Mobiflight.
So if you enable the "show joystick axis" in Mobiflight log, do you see anything?
