#Cannot create new configs

Using version 10.5.3.20. I need to make new configs. I click on "Add Output Config" and it puts in a new line but it does not open the Config Wizard. I cannot do anything with it. When I hover over the name the Edit icon does not appear. I can double click on the name and it allows me to enter a new name but when I hit Enter it reverts back to New Output Config. I cannot enter any config details.
When I click on Add Input Config it opens the config wizard normally.
Can anyone help please.

Just a follow-up to my above request for help. When I enable logging I get the following error when I click on Add Output Config:

Error reading JObject from Json Reader. Current Json Reader item is not an object: Null. Path "Source", line 10. position 18.

hm

#

that is extremely weird

#

you must be the exception... is there anything special that you can think of about your windows installation or PC?

#

did you try .19 and was it not happening there?

Thanks for the response. Actually I had version 19 installed and that is where I first encountered the problem so I downloaded V20 thinking it might be a bug which is now fixed but the problem was still there. I have Mobiflight on another computer running V19 and it works perfectly. I have deleted Mobiflight and done a fresh install along with the V20 Beta. Would you believe the problem is still there so pointing to a problem on my system but where to start I have no idea.

if the progress bar shows for a moment than it is not a problem with .NET or the new UI per se

#

maybe something is wrong with the config that gets loaded on startup

My fresh download is V10.5.3. I can open old .mcc files and I can add new output configs to it. It does not give me the option to open .MFPROJ files.
I download the latest Beta - 10.5.3.20. I can open the old .mcc files. The Add New Output config function adds the new line but cannot do anything with it. I open my current .MFPROJ file, as before the new config line is not editable. I can open and edit the existing configs.
Clicking on Add New Input Config opens the wizard correctly.
Clearly the problem is with my computer as the same version is working on my other computer. I'm running my cockpit using Mobiflight on two computers and need to get this one working because the new panel I'm trying to program will be driven by this one.
Is there a way to convert the .mfproj file to .mcc?
Thanks for your continuing help.

share your mfproj file here to see if there is anything wrong with it

#

can you share some screenshots or a video

#

(Win+Shift+S) is your friend

Here is the .mfproj file and a video. I think you're on the right track suspecting a possible problem with the .mfproj file. My other computer has its own .mfproj file which works properly for adding new configs. When I load this suspect .mfproj file into that computer the same problem appears. When I load the .mfproj file from the other computer into this computer it works normally. I hope you can see the problem and recover the file.

i saw the error once. the source item was null.
