#Mobiflight deleted my Ardruino Throttle cutoff switch

Did it show up as a joystick before? You may have turned it into a mobiflight device if you said yes to the prompt that asks you to install/update mobiflight firmware.
yes I did
any change of getting it back?
I didn;t know it was going to touch that device, I wanted to program the Winwing CDU
You will need to reload the original firmware to your Arduino, most likely using Arduino IDE, and tell Mobiflight to ignore that serial port in the future.
There is nothing to upload to a Winwing CDU from Mobiflight
how can I reload the firmware? I didn't program it just bought it from someone else that had it configured as joystick.. will they need to send it over?
yes, they will need to send the sketch file to you
ok thank you
the apparent ease of creating joystick devices with Arduinos has the drawback, that they all look like valid MobiFlight boards as well, so it is easy to be confused.
I think it is possible for device creators to disable the bootloader so it is not possible to flash the device without a programming cable and (a very inexpensive) USB programmer, but almost nobody seems to do this.
@hardy folio did it work out for you?
I had to reconfigure the ardruino board and got it working again
ok good, I'm sorry this caught you off guard, but happy to hear it works now again
