but it is not advisable to try to create a "works for all" config file that tries to do different things for different aircraft. This is most of the time not a good idea and just makes things overly complicated.

if you want different things for different aircraft, you can also use the "link config to aircraft" feature that lets you make separate confg profiles for each aircraft, and then link each to the respective aircraft type, using the bottom bar of MobiFlight

but in any case, in MSFS2024 (A:TITLE,String) seems to work ok

(this is the beta version, so it looks different in some parts of the user interface)
