I've had mobilflight working for about 6 months just fine and then today it's decided not to recognise one of my joystick boards with this error when i load mobiflight

But all inputs are active and present in the Windows USB Game Controllers settings and they all show active inputs

and when i look in the joystick settings in mobiflight its missing too

Thanks for reporting. You are the 2nd person reporting. It seems the problem appears if 2 joysticks have the same name.

Your report probably just helped us to figure out what the issue is. There was a small change in the joystick manager. And probably that change led to the behavior that joysticks with same name overwrite themselves during detection.

In the meantime you could use MobiFlight 10.0.2.3 BETA Release. If you want to. You can install it in parallel.

Download MobiFlightConnector-10.0.2.3.zip
Extract it to a new folder somewhere.
Start MFConnector.exe - DONE

ok when i load it, i get 10.1.0.0 is available... should i ignore that as its a downgrade?

Use serial number instead of name for joystick dictionary by neilen...

Use the joystick Serial property instead of Name as the dictionary key.

I'm actually able to reproduce this issue locally, I have a three switch foot pedal that reports each one as a separate joystick called "foot pedal"

yeah its super useful having such a big community to find random issues, but its even better that the devs are super responsive
