I have 4 encoders connected through Mobiflight for the FBW A320 . 2 of them show increase / decrease with right & left rotation. The other two show successive lines "...LEFT...RIGHT....LEFT" [in the logging window] irrespective of the direction of rotation. Is this a quality issue with the encoder? I've tried the different assignments under A320 and A320 DEV for Speed increase / decrease but still have the same problem.

Are they all the same brand/type of encoder?

Yes, they're the same brand. I've checked the wiring and cannot find any short circuits

Can you change the encoders pins in the arduino board? Put the faulty one where's the good ones works to check if a encoder or arduino/mf problem

Thanks for the suggestions. I removed the devices and the wiring. Started again; all work ok now 😀
