Enabling battle texts usually help with these kinds of reports
If you're using Protoplague, this is not a bug in particular, but you're giving massive amounts of Heartwood to your team, and those stacks are then cleansed when they reach 4 for the nuke.
This does increase battle time a bit, because even if the enemy is going to die, the server will still calculate the healings and buffs that you apply
This is for a very simple reason, if you have a skill that damages an enemy and heals you, you would still want the heal to go off even if the skill killed the enemy

In relation to this, in gvg and pvp this set has the same problem skram did in that it triggers a cascade of true damage nukes once an enemy dies which makes it un-counterable in gvg as it cant be stopped and is a garunteed team wipe as soon as an enemy dies, is that deliberate?

That was not the particular problem we aimed to tackle with Skramblegg, it's just a consequence of the increasing chain-length of the game's mechanics. But it also shares this problem a bit
At least it's not 4 Protos 
(BTW the 2 main reasons to nuke Skram were: (1) The Revive mechanic is the main cause of many many many battle bugs // (2) The only answer to Skram is to run MORE Skram, and I don't just mean on yourself, but just more Skrams on the team
If Proto supports a different build, and your GvG team looks more like
Proto / 3xt / 3xt / Tank, is much healthier than Skram / Skram / Skram / Skram - Tank
Atleast with Proto you need to kill an enemy and not just go glass cannon and let someone kill you to nuke back

But in the scenario I proposed above (taken from the other thread), you only have 1/4 of the fight being THE set

Even if you dont touch proto rework skram. The funny part here is skram would have directly countered proto here
Sure but it's still an uncounterable build because of how the offhand procs, yeah the 3ext triggers the initial proc but after that the proto is what kills the entire rest of both team with true damage that resets on every kill that you cannot counter or stop
For me it's almost at the same level as Broken of Skram on gvg, even though the teams can vary, you only need a 3xtort and a proto and + 2 random (just to receive the heartwood stacks) and you can start the chain that is unstoppable. It kills 8 enemies because the GVG teams are 8 in total, but if there were 100 it would kill all 100, looking at it from that side it has a greater potential than Skram
In an invasion, there won't be another incident because of the mobs' HP scaling, but this build can certainly handle hundreds of waves without using any skills. In a raid, the balance problem that already exists with full 3xtort teams is much worse (if they plan to launch more raids in the future). 4 players with 3xtort and 1 proto, let's say that the extort only kills the first mob, proto would cause 1000% dmg (equivalent to 10 extort) for each mob it kills.
Also players with Witchum, who alone can take 21 wb on legendary difficulty with good consistency. Why do you need dd if you can not press anything at all and win?
Protoplague’s 4/4 isn’t true damage. It can be evaded and reduced.
I imagine it’s still incredibly powerful but in GvG I can see it potentially being countered… we’ll see tho :o

It was meant to be normal not true during design. Oversight on dev/engineer side of conversations.
And looks like the changelog did not reflect that.

This was changed recently. Originally it was true damage
This was all from a single 0sp starting on wave 1. In this video I’m at 72k ts and running max difficulty on t21 gauntlet
damn runs really go slow with that set lol
It’s just an issue with all the heartwood stacks and the constant pauses. That might get fixed though
hope so the set can be fun for pve too but annoying with the long pauses
You never ran with maki or vent set lol
