community story event/reward

I will not be participating but I don't understand the rewards you are providing, something is always better than nothing so the intent of the event is great.

BUT the story's are alot of work and will take over week to put together and your most likely reward is 1000 gems a bitgor and a discord roll.... the mega pet egg and accessory box are most likely to give nothing of value.

Why not actually give the players something they need/ could use and make it the legendary accessory/ pet event chests or even a mythic. It seems like a much better / more enticing of a reward for the exclusivity of the reward and the work involved.

In my opinion the prizes are fine for a fun lore event. If I were to guess the alternative would be to not have anything at all -- if you personally don't see the value in participating, I'm sure there is someone else out there that does, and this would be a great opportunity to try to roll a free legendary for minimal effort. A company typically has a budget they have to adhere to regarding giveaways & competitions so there will always be an ebb and flow with the payout values.

Could literally take 5 minutes to write something the CMs deem as great and there's your gems
