This is for the empire faction (i.e. Concord ships) rank; for the pirate faction ranks you have to do the new factional warfare PvE missions or the Wasteseeker Combat Test which drops some merits too

or do PVP while disguised

PvP doesn’t give rank

For faction FW. Only for empire. Unless I am missing something.

incorrect, you get faction merits per kill as long as you have your mask on. and now, since the update, any kill gives merit (unless you are more than three faction ranks above the victim)

before the update it was only mask on mask fights for merit.
