You can access your account binding screen by clicking onto the small character icon in the upper right corner on the login screen.
Your starting point is an EE Account bound to Twitter/X - if you have your account bound with another method this post is probably unrelevant for you.

Add a recovery email if you don't have one already. Just in case.
This has to be a unique email for each of your EE accounts and is unrelated to the binding process. -
Make a brand new gmail account.

While on a mobile phone/emulator shouldn't need to fill in a phone number.

Store your login information.

Download the Facebook app.

Create a new FB account with the email above.

Store your login information.

Log in the Facebook app.

Wait 60 minutes before you can bind with the new Facebook account.

Bind account. Select Facebook and proceed.
-Done.
"Do I need to remove X/Twitter binding in order to start this process?"
-No. The binding methods will work alongside. You can either keep both or remove the Twitter after the new method is in place.
"Will this work on an emulator?"
-Yes.
"Can I just bind with google play and skip the Facebook part?"
-Yes.
