#setting friendly drones/ fighters as blue, and enemy drones/ fighters as red

the weird thing is, that I see some friendly drones as blue/ purple, and some as grey. And not sure how to set enemy drones to red
I may have messed something up in my overview
setting friendly drones/ fighters as blue, and enemy drones/ fighters as red
You haven't messed anything up, there's a bug with friendly drones at least which at times will appear as gray. There is a warning popup that should appear if you're about to target friendlies by accident. However all drones are supposed to appear in the same color as their owners standing in relation to you. So all players who are set as hostile or red should have their drones appearing in that color too. Also creating a drone tab in overview can help too.
thanks! that clears part of it up
i did make a drone tab, with only grey/ enemy standings selected, but it still shows all purple drones as well
any idea how to fix that?
Yeah, that's because drones themselves don't have a filter the way ships and standings do. So if you have drones/fighters selected it shows all drones. However if you have it set to show friendlies too in the subcategories in overview selecting red or gray only will show only that color. If they're red it's only going to show red not gray or blue or purple. I do this at certain times when I'm facing drone boars in PvP
sorry, trying to follow what to do. you say "However if you have it set to show friendlies too in the subcategories in overview"
subcategory = tab?
oh i think i understand
you are talking about the 'row' on the right? that doesnt work for me either
There's 2 different settings in overview settings that technically have a similar function or at least affect similar things but they do it a way that is a little different than the other@ one is in the ships tab. Each of the ship classes have an icon next to it that brings up standings@ so you can have a tab in overview that only shows red and neut BS. The very bottom tab in overview settings is for standings and each has it's own icon similar to what ships have. Pressing an icon brings of each class of ships (no drones or fighters. They affect each other but it's the standings tab you want to use. In the standing of overview select icon next to it's hostile standings you want to work with. Check select all for each standing ( I personally deselect capsule for my PVP tab so overview isn't flooded with em during large scale fights). The front there you can turn those neuts you're fighting as red. This should help with keeping then separate from friendly drones that appear grey
With the standings tab, in utilizing it instead of ships. It gives their drones to appear in overview and same standing as the pilot
Personally I have a drones tab that only shows ships that are neuts and red (including criminal which doesn't appear in overview with other reds. By selecting all ships that are red you will also see all red drones or criminal drones
hi, so I tried this too but wasn't successful
I'll try to read the above thoroughly and see if I can figure out what went wrong
I ll see if I can take some SS of it
ooooh..! thanks
I never saw/ used the 'custom filter'
that's must be it! 🙂
I was doing ships in the 'ship' category
so what I understand from you atm: there are 2 ways of setting your tab: either through 'ships' or through 'standing', right? and you want to choose one or the other
I already didnt know that, very helpful
and 'standing' way is preferred
and you are saying friendly drones will remain grey (that's just a glitch right?)
but that you can make all enemy drones red?
Check select all for each standing
so are you saying to include all standings, friendly included?
The front there you can turn those neuts you're fighting as red.
what is 'the front'? and how to turn neuts to red?
but here you say not to include all standings:
*Personally I have a drones tab that only shows ships that are neuts and red *
right?
maybe you can just spell out what exactly the trick is that 'binds' the standing of enemy drones to the standing of their ship
However it doesn't have anything similar for drones/fighters and the filters are only available for ships and standings. Drones will fall in with whatever their owneris. Just make sure drones/fighters are checked so they appear with the owner
