Cannot get rid of inline hints in vscode anymore | Zig Programming Language | Page 1

I had a working zig environemnt for months now. Now all of a sudden I have inline hints, even though i have all inline hint settings disabled.
Reinstalling the zig extension and re-applying all settings doesnt help. any tips how to fix this? Inline hints are so annoying

vscode version 1.96.0
zig version: 0.13.0
zls version: 0.13.0
