Please remove the enemy ability to cause stun/delay on the player within that small window after you make a combat selection and before you act.

It's simply awful. I appreciate that event battles seem to never have them, but I don't know why they exist at all for things like the weekly arena. I enjoy strategizing to get the 100 scores, but every time those effects proc, I simply have to restart until they don't activate due to RNG. They just serve no purpose except to waste time.

i wish enemy skills worked before our move so then healers could barrier cleanse

That, or at the end of the turn is fine I think. The important thing is player agency.

and how exactly does it connect to the suggestion? There is no skill that can stop stuns and delays from happening (other than using particular characters with immunities but then it literally turns from thinking of a good strategy into just getting an epic friend who can do everything) at the same time, these stages invalidate the usefulness of barrier cleanse of heal units since the enemy gives paralyze and at the same time the same paralyze may give stun, which is literally unstoppable. Why do we even need barrier cleansing skills if they cant fight stuns and delays

im more of a defensive player than healer player so i never had this issue

also certain gen/fes friends somehow doesnt get stunned

they dont get stunned because they are immune to paralyze status or its effects which is stun. Stun is still unfair, its literally no strategy outside of picking some limited amount of friends immune, pure RNG that decides if the run is over and has to be done again and again or successful, there should be at least a way to fight it. Sure, arena weekly isnt long and difficult but it gets frustrating, and if some future content also has an enemy that paralyzes literally before attacking thats gonna be a bigger issue.

IMO stun shouldnt happen immediately after getting paralyze effect, maybe after the turn ends giving us a window to cleanse it or to graze it away

yeah i get where are you coming from. but i usually just stall/buff def or debuff them.

to me binds are more of a problem even if you have bind cleanse
