When you have lots of friends, its not easy to keep track of who you are trying to level, or even how many dupes of a friend you have.

  1. Make a favourite button on friends, so you can keep track of which ones you are trying to level
  2. Sorting option where a particular friend and all its dupes are listed next to each other, so you can easily see if you already have an MLB of that friend and can part ways any more dupes, for example.

  1. already exists if you sort by Universe, although it shows you the universe tag instead of number of stars, and is still subject to party-first priority

To add to this, I would like an alphabetical option for both Friends and Story Cards

A search bar could work too; although landscape keyboards don't do well in terms of typing

An option to disable in-party priority would be nice as well. Too often do you scroll down without realizing your friend is in a party while you're trying to do <enhance, school, dojo etc>. Other times this interferes with the above suggestion of using "sort-by Universe" as a work-around for OP's suggestion 2.

Having your top rows filled with the weekly arena friends you used is also annoying as well, considering people won't be using them anywhere else. It also feels inconsistent because the other game modes that don't use the standard party system (Fantasy Rebirth, Tower) don't exhibit this behavior.

Both an option to disable in-party priority for friends, and sorting by name for both friends and story cards would be absolutely huge increase to quality of life

what if they just make placing units like the sdt one except it doesnt make the cd carry over to pther stages

I guess a number of improvements to the sort/filter system would be helpful.
Here are a few ideas (with the feasibility of implementation of some of them being highly questionable)

  1. Favoriting system.
Simplest example: units can be assigned as favorite or unassigned, simple as that.
More comprehensive example: users can assign one of chon, FlandreSigh, JunkoKnowsNotWhatYouDid to a friend. Then users can filter to show only chon friends, only show JunkoKnowsNotWhatYouDid friends, etc.
Or, incorporate it into sort where, for example, chon> FlandreSigh > JunkoKnowsNotWhatYouDid , so a descending sort will show the chons at the top whereas an ascending sort will show the JunkoKnowsNotWhatYouDid s at the top.

  2. Expand the sorting options available. In-party, Limit break, friendship etc. can be added as additional sort options.
Allow the option to toggle a set multiple selection of sorting options, ordered by a customizable hierarchy (I've seen some games do this, although they have literally 1000+ unique entities). Allow the saving of 2-3 sets of these.
The idea is to allow, for example:
Sort Default: The current sort system.

Sort 1: Favorites descending> In-party descending> cost descending > universe descending
This will show all your favorites at the top and non-favorites below it.
Among your favorites, In-party friends at the top, followed by not-in-party
Among the in-party friends, we will see all the 12-costs first.
Among the 12-costs, they will be ordered by the universe sort.
An favorited, in-party, 12-cost Z1 Marisa will be very first unit possible.

Sort 2: cost ascending > rarity ascending > universe ascending
This will show the lowest cost units first (in this case, 5-cost).
With "rarity ascending", 5-cost gen units will be shown first
With "universe ascending", these 5-cost gen units are ordered by reverse universe order.
In this sort, a 5-cost L1 Reimu will be very first unit possible

  1. Add the ability to select customizable multi-filters in addition to the current filter options.
The multi filters will allow you to better pinpoint the exact friend you're looking for.
Example A: Filter by: Attack, FR'd, fes, in-party
-Shows all your attack-type FR'd fes friends who arecurrently in a party

Example B: Filter by: Healer/Tech, fes/sfes, favorite
-shows all your favorited healer/tech fes and sfes friends.

  1. Add multiple Pokemon PC-esque boxes where you can freely assign friends to. For example, you want a sakuya box so you assign all your sakuyas to that box. Now you can select that box only sakuyas.
A slot system would be a cool addition to this.
For example, you can put your potential Star EX friends to slots 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc so you can easily access and change their loadouts. This can help facilitate testing/finding the perfect party.
Another way this can be helpful is if you stopped farming Star EX and changed those friends' loadouts to tackle other stages. Now you can have your party members right next to each other, allowing you to easily change their loadouts into their Star EX ones. (Although, having a loadout saving system would be a more direct solution to this problem.)

Dunno if anyone else does this but I have 4 parties of 6 friends that are the ones I use the most and my first party is the only party that I use. This means I only get to have 1 organized party at any given time but since all the friends I use a lot are always in a party they are always at the top. If we could save 10 parties this method would work even better could have 2 or 3 usable parties and have 7x6 = 42units always at the top.
I don't feel the need to have many parties available since once you get a decent clear autoreplay will save your comp for that map and you never have to touch it again unless you change your friends scs. But only having 1 usable party kinda sucks sometimes. Also it doesnt sound to hard to implement just give us 5 more party slots

I'd like to have a way to distinguish between dupes of one character better, since not everyone has a costume. Being able to tag them or mark them somehow would be very helpful, because there are some I use for cheap/purple farming vs the pink heart friends for CQ.

A variety of filter improvements are on the todo list, currently looking to be an extensive improvement

No timeline right now though due to other things taking priority

Thanks! Can't wait to see the results, whenever they come.

This but also an option to not list in-party and rebirth members first. I feel the friend menu system could use some improvements, groups/favorites being one of them. Puyo Quest comes to mind for me in this regard (there’s four options to tag a character, plus locking them).
