RoDevs - Server Rules

Welcome to RoDevs! RoDevs is a Discord Community oriented towards Roblox Development. To ensure the safety of our users and our community, we ask that you read the rules and abide by them at all times.

Section #1 - General Rules

The following rules are applicable anywhere including:

  • Server Channels, Voice Chats, Private Messages, Media Content, and User Profile Information.

Rule #1.1 - Media Content

  • Videos, GIFs, images, links, or profile pictures involving or having a correlation with pornography, hentai, genitalia, nudity, gore, violence, abuse, and other disturbing content.
  • Using videos, GIFs, images, or links to bypass our chat filter.
  • Forging evidence
    Punishment: Ranges from a warning to a permanent ban

Rule #1.2 - Inappropriate Discussion

  • Sex, sexual conduct, or genitalia
  • Gore or other disturbing topics
  • Drugs or alcohol
  • Controversial or sensitive topics
    Punishment: Ranges from a warning to a permanent ban.

Rule #1.3 - Intolerable Behavior

  • Disrespectful or negative remarks
  • Bullying, toxicity, threats, harassment, provocative behavior, hate speech, hateful conduct, threats, or encouraging suicide/self-harm
  • Racism, homophobia, or transphobia
  • Slurs, swear words (swear words are allowed as long as they aren't used in a derogatory manner), and our banned words list.
    Punishment: Ranges from a mute to a permanent ban

Rule #1.4 - Scamming

  • To see what constitutes scamming, please check read #🕵︱scam-prevention
    Punishment: Punishments involving scams vary but are typically permanent bans.

Rule #1.5 - Advertisement

  • Advertising anything you created or associated with the posting user in RoDevs or DMs.
    Punishment: Ranges from a warning to a permanent ban

Rule #1.6 - Exploits

  • Selling, sharing, streaming, or discussing exploits. Exploits being discussed or used to test anti-cheat systems are fine
    Punishment: Ranges from a verbal warning to a permanent ban
Section #2 - Chat Rules

The following rules are applicable anywhere including:

  • Server Channels and Private Messages

Rule #2.1 - Spamming

  • Sending several messages within a short time. The messages can include a single letter, symbol, multiple letters or symbols, mentions, and more.
    Punishment: Ranges from a verbal warning to a mute.

Rule #2.2 - Flooding

  • Sending or spamming a large message within a short time.
    Punishment: Ranges from a mute to a temporary ban.

Rule #2.3 - Unnecessary Pinging and Ghost Pinging

  • Unnecessarily or excessively pinging a user without a valid reason
  • Pinging a user and then deleting the message
    Punishment: Ranges from a mute to a temporary ban.

Rule #2.4 - Bypassing Chat Filter

  • Bypassing our chat filter by switching/removing/adding/covering letters, using special characters, etc.
  • Bypassing our chat filter by using videos, GIFs, images, etc.
  • Abusing Spoilers to make it seem like you are bypassing or using spoilers directly to bypass
    Punishment: Ranges from a warning to a temporary ban.

Rule #2.5 - Malicious Links/Files

  • IP grabbers, cookie loggers, social engineering links, executable files, and other malware in chat or DMs.
    Punishment: Permanent ban.

Rule #2.6 - Channel Misuse

  • Channel misuse includes being off-topic in development categories, looking for developers outside the marketplace, and more.
    Punishment: Ranges from a warning to a mute.
Section #3 - Voice Chat Rules

The following rules are applicable anywhere including:

  • Voice Chats

Rule #3.1 - Microphone Abuse is Prohibited

  • Creating or playing obnoxiously loud sounds. Including screaming, external sounds, high-pitched sounds, and blowing into one's microphone.
  • The use of a soundboard
  • Making inappropriate noises or discussing inappropriate topics
  • Excessive swearing or using profanity to degrade others
    Punishment: Ranges from a VC-Mute to a ban

Rule #3.2 - Voice Changers are Prohibited

  • Voice modifiers that alter the way your voice sounds.
    Punishment: Ranges from a verbal warning to a kick.

Rule #3.3 - Music

  • Playing music through one's microphone
  • Using the music bot to bypass banned words
  • Playing Music that includes or promotes vulgar language, racism, homophobia, negativity, sexual conduct, etc.
    Punishment: Ranges from a warning to a permanent ban.
