Question: I am currently trying to work with Lord Hades for a lot of personal issues that I won’t go into and made a small part of the altar for Lady Persephone as well because I’ve been told by people that if I worship one I should offer to the other as well. And she just seems, very uninterested or not very happy with me? I bought both candles from a shop and her’s burns but not as big as lord Hades and when I woodsmithed them both a holder for their respective tarot cards hers wouldn’t go into the holder.. I feel like I shouldn’t force her to accept my offerings but I don’t have any idea what I’m doing wrong?

so like the worship of Persephone is definitely not required as somebody that worships Hades as well!

instead what I do is I will give offerings to both of them so that way they can enjoy it together instead of giving them individual offerings specifically because I don't have that kind of relationship with Persephone and I don't really want one.
it's entirely fair to worship one part of a Duo and not the other because your worship is for you not for them if that makes any sense

so a lot of what is in "online sources" is what is called UPG or unverified personal gnosis/SPG or shared personal gnosis.
what this means is that it's based off of a practitioner's curated experience or shared curated experiences of many practitioners that follow a deity rather than being rooted in 100% historical fact

however there is a bit of a difference between looking on sites where appropriation is pretty prevalent maybe they're talking about chakras things like that

a UPG would be something like "I think Apollo likes black licorice" (as far as I'm aware Apollo doesn't like black licorice and it's not a common thing he would be given)
an SPG would be something like "oh yeah Apollo really likes mellow yellow as a drink for an offering" it has yellow in the name, Apollo likes yellow, makes sense
and a verified gnosis would be "you should write songs for Apollo because he's the god of music"

I can't put Set near Anubis or Apollo (i asked a few minutes ago) or he'll get irritated. Lucifer will sit wherever as long as his altar is not below another. Anubis likes to be by himself in the corner where I can pile more offerings.

Set...doesn't tend to play nice with others.

He has many enemies historically, Anubis being one of them

Which is ironic that both stick around

Set sometimes thinks it's funny to pretend to be Anubis (which Anubis does not like) but I'm now able to notice the difference in energy when it's Anubis or "Anubis"

I also think he may not want Apollo's altar next to his simply for the sun aspect, which I think is too similar to Horus for his liking

Set is fine with Ra (a sun god in Egypt) as they ride in the Solar Barque together but I think he perceives Apollo's energy to be more like Horus's and Doesn't Like That

Back to thinking about deity worship

It's so weird to go from 1 to 2 deities involved in my practice in over 2 years, then from 2 to 5 in like, 6 months. I know I'm growing and showing more involvement in my practice, so maybe they're involving more with me because of it?

Also actually working with deities is new to me and I still don't feel 100% I'm doing it right (I'm a naturally anxious and skeptical person so this is probably at least 50% my own head)

It's only one deity I'm working with (Sutekh) and boy that energy gets intense fast

when i used to worship i tried to dedicate daily activities to my gods, things like "im doing this, im going to try my best and i dedicate this to (name of a god)" yk

cause i didnt have the energy or most times the time to do "special" stuff for them

i also had some of those kids clay thingies and i would make very small and simple things for them

you can try fasting for a duration as long as you are comfortable. i fast on mondays as a worshipping practice to lord shiva. aside from that, starting your day with just a sharing a few words to there deity and heading on with your day is also a go-to for me since i work 1/4th of my day.

(I don't do diety work yet, these are small things I do for my guardians) I'll leave a piece of jewelry on my altar for a night or two, then when I wear that one I'll put a new piece down and repeat the process

if so I will note that this is based off of mythology and mythology doesn't 100% represent historical fact so while yes they may have mythological beef so to speak that doesn't necessarily reflect to how they feel about each other now.

also like a lot of this stuff that happened was over like a thousand years ago at this point so it's more than likely not something that they consider hating someone for still

and it kind of depends on what you mean by Athena and Medusa having like issues with each other.

because like if you mean that Athena hated Medusa and therefore turned her into the monster then you should also know that that's only one version of Medusa's myth. in other versions Medusa was always a monster because she's a gorgon and Gorgons are monsters in Greek mythology

of course there is also the fact that like Medusa's had got turned into Athena's Shield so there's that.

The difference between the versions is Roman vs Greek! In the original Greek, Medusa was always a Gorgon. When the Romans got ahold of the story, they changed it so that Athena turned Medusa into a gorgon (some versions say it was for protection and others say it was a punihmsent)

For a while now, I've been talking to a being/spirtual guide named Wisteria.

In our first encounter she delivered two very clear messages "The moment you turn, you'll realize there is so much to see" and "All you need to do is ask".

Ever since then, I've been asking for help from Wisteria whenever I felt like I was in a bad place emotionally. Recently, I've been thinking about if anything else like Wisteria would be willing to help me, since I figured Wisteria is only there for emotional, mental and spiritual needs.

So I asked her to reveal anyone or anything else that would be willing to help me, perhaps in more physical deeds.

After this request, I went to bed. Right then, I had a vision-ish experience. It wasn't a dream, I was fully aware of the outside world during it, hearing sounds and stuff.

In short, I was laying in grass, staring up at the blue sky when a figure which had wings and was glowing white came down. I saw rapid fire imagery of death-symbolism and white candle light. Most importantly, I saw the name Ether.

Later on today I finally had time to research about my sneaking suspicion that this vision was related to some sort of deity.

From what I can gather, yes, it's true. Ether, or more commonly known as Aether is a primordial god of the upper sky/air, light and heaven.

Now, this is weird because I'm a Chaos Witch who doesn't dabble in deity work or worship at all. And when I asked Wisteria, I didn't expect this to happen.

For me anyways, I did a deity id on a whim with my pagan friends. Most if not all the cards were associated with Lord Apollo, so I took it as a sign
I’d research his signs and see if you see them in daily life—as that is what I looked at for further conformation. For me, crows and ravens would follow me constantly. I hope this helps :]

But I was talking to my boyfriend about how I used to be really active, kind of reminiscing. As we were talking sadly and ‼️TW animal d**th ||a poor bird died right outside my apartment door :(( my roommate called me to come help and she buried him properly|| and my question is if that was related to anyone in particular?

Since I’m not new to this stuff I do know sad things like that happen naturally, I just thought it happened at a spot on time when I was talking about it and right outside our apartment door.

Encounters with || dead animals || tend to point to deities from the underworld in my experience. In my case it was Persephone back in the day.
You can also try to communicate with Lord Lucifer and see if he’s the one sending you clues? /gen

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but sometimes it is ok to treat deities casually, you don’t have to do a big performance and big ritual for them. (you can but it’s not necessary, you’ll live.) it’s ok if you don’t pray to them everyday, you don’t have to offer them anything everyday, seriously they are ok with it, they won't curse you for it. But the best way to treat them (atleast for me) is like a good friend or relative you known for a while, share the food on your plate with them, show them a movie/show you'll want to them or think they like, just showing them humanity is enough, one of my patrons particularly loves it. Trust me, this is good way (again, my opinion) to interact with them. I should know I have 19 on them. Seriously when a new one shows up, and somehow it's usually a major one in a religion (I don't why they just show up) I'm always "Ok cool...wanna watch a movie?" And occasionally a gift but I dismiss that as gift-giving is my love language, thats it. You don't have to do much, you don't have to constantly provide for them, you don't have to push yourself under their shoe just because your mortal. You can just throw them bone, include them in your everyday life, live a but more! Of course keep in account that they are gods of course and take the advice they give, but I'm telling you it's ok to be casual. Hmmm I'd say the only real similarities would be they're both playful, teensy dramatic, and are hella kind. But the similarities end there. To me, Hermes likes to mess around a lot and will get serious when he absolutely needs to be. Reminds me of like a funky uncle. Apollo is warm and welcoming with open arms, and is pretty relaxed but loves to be mysterious and theatrical. Like with Hermes I'll be like "uhh is this a trick?" but with Apollo i have no idea what he really means half the time

I’ve never worked with Hekate so maybe I’m not the best to give this advice but I feel like usually not praying daily doesn’t usually warrant a “consequence” if that makes sense. I don’t work closely with the gods now but I used to, and I never had an instance like that. I might suggest cleansing your space? My reasoning is I don’t think a god would deliberately try to induce nightmares or a bad day if you don’t pray to them so it might be something else that could cause it? Perhaps a malevolent spirit, but either way a good cleansing never hurts.

But anyone can correct me if they have other advice or have experienced this 🫶

Everyone experiences it differently which ik isn't exactly a helpful answer, some of the most common ways folks can tell are;
-seeing things outside the mundane that connect with the entity (numbers, animals, plants etc)
-feeling drawn to them out of the blue
-seeing them/their symbols in dreams, meditations or divination

However since you mentioned being a beginner it's important to understand the basics of entity work, communication and most importantly protection before reaching back out. Things like cleansing, banishing, and setting up wards

Something many start with is deity worship, simply setting up an altar and giving offerings/prayers/your time. This allows you time to connect with them, learn and figure out your relationship (if you want to work with them, communicate, just worship or somethingelse)
