by taking advantage of the wisp and other small enemies like slimes or bats we can make a summoner class how it would work is with a staff or other magical item wed be able to summon 3 small monsters to start off with (being the green bat, slime, and wisp) to summon them you would need manna 1 manna per summon you can change the the summon to give it more hp (hp being the amount of times it can run in to an enemy) you can have a max of 3 summons that you can have out at once with the ability to increase this number latter by picking up the right relics relics and hold 4 manna to summon them you would use the top grip on quest controllers to change what monster you summon you'd need to press bottom grip of the quest controller now lets move on to stats that you start off with
Summon Hp: 1-3
Max summons: 3
Staff damage: 4
summon damage: 4
Evasion: 0%
Luck: 0%
Discount: 0%

now lets go and see what some relics will do
bamboo firecracker: wen a slime with 2 hp or more expires splits into 2 smaller slims with half the hp it was summoned with
forge embers: give all summons a 50% chance to burn foes
dead weight: make all summons move slower but have +1 Hp
swollen tick: wen summon expires it explodes in to a cloud of deadly spores
pristine fletching: make all summons move faster
golden tooth: make all summons do +1 damage
omonis fingerprint: +1 max summon
Bloody fingerprint: give all summons +1 hp

Don't think summoners would work all that way in this game.
-Why rely on summons to do damage when I can do it myself more reliably?
-Pathing for enemies breaks sometimes even now and non-flying enemies stop at ledges most of the time, imagine your main damag source just standing around
-Your only (vertical) ranged damage would be wisp and bat - sounds like a bad time with beast
-The coolest part about summoners in general is creating A. an army (which is not possible here) and/or B. having epic beasts at your side, which would be to strong and also...kinda boring. Like, you just stand there and let others do the work. Try going into Multi Player and leave all the damage-dealing to your team, see how fun that would be

and becuse you can aredy raise the max number of summons by gradeing common relics you can make an amry fast

we can also have 2 paths for the bat 1 were it turns in to a swarm of flys or one were it just become a bigger bat

Honestly, great mentality to take critic and try to improve around it. Don't think you can make it work here, but I would not mind standing corrected.
About your improvement-ideas:
-My problem with the army was not that there was no mechanic for it, it is because I think that would be to much to process for some hardware, making it not realistic to implement
-Don't try to use relics for base-balance or problems and don't change them to much from their current effects, that makes it just confusing

Appreciate the enthusiasm, but even now there are problems for some people with the regular enemies and stuff like that. It would definitely get worse with a bunch more creatures. I will stop with the "won't work" stuff now tho : D

and then i think i figerd out a way to make epic beast work this being wen you have 5 of the same summon out you can combie them into a boss or a better version of the summon
the greater summons would take up 5 summon slots meaning if you have 6 max summons and u make a grate summon then youd have the boss and 1 little guy
the bosses would have the combind hp as all summons use to make it

and last thing befor i hop back on advr is for your vary 1st problue being "why relie of summons wen i can do the damge my self" not everyone wants to do the damge them self or it might be hard for them so haveing a class that work for them would be good and if u like doing damage your self you have other opsins likw sword and knife or tomb and wand

also dont forget ab lag 😭😭✌️✌️ i play on hard mode and that already lags enough as it is, i dont need a new mechanic which creates more confusion for the engine ✌️✌️

u gotta note we've NEVER had anything that made slimes fight FOR us, we've had wisps yes, but those r potions for a reason, you would be almost invalidating the door chime and most wisp items because you can just summon them.. and i dont think you understand how tedious this is.. you're basically saying for one weapon to rework ALL of the relics
