Im still in favor of a magic staff as a potential added weapon. Ive said this in the past but figured id put it here too. I thought of this weapon with relics and gameplay of the base game as is in mind (meaning it has to have both melee and ranged properites) on top of decent synergy with most pre-exsisting relics.
It has melee potential with bonks, and ranged potential with spells (Im thinking like a megaman charge shot and maybe some new relics that add properties like a spread shot, or laser)
Heck prexsisting relics can kinda fulfill this roll:
Bamboo Firecracker can basically make the staff shoot the exploding blue orb that the books do in the library
Fungal growth can basically be the laser since it emits a line during flight
Porcupine quils can act as a spread shot like the red slimes who shoot 3 orbs
Sharpened Eagle Talon basically makes spells like a wisp
the core mechanics are already kinda there for a staff build imo. What do yall think? Anyone down to become a spellcaster? (I can imagine some sick all or nothing builds with glass cannon in spirit of being a mage)
