Hitting an enemy with blunt force won’t deal much damage on it’s own, unlike the cutting edge of a sword. However, it deals quite a bit of knock-back, and can deal bonus damage if the enemy is slammed against a wall, or crushed against the floor by an overhead slam.
Lastly, to deal with ranged threats, just grab and throw anything! Pots, crates, corpses, or slimes! If there’s nothing nearby, just grab a chunk from the ground, though there’s definitely better options in a scuffle than a small rock. Lastly, your overall throwing power is increased.
