Similar to the alchemist's delve, the user of this weapon combo will be unable to use conventional weapons.

The user would primarily use their fists.

The range problem!

How about throwing yourself? Basically your ranged weapon is jumping. Keeps with the idea of being completely unarmed while letting you hit the beast. You simply deal ranged damage instead while airborne.

I'm thinking like, Doomfist from Overwatch or something. You'd leap at an enemy and then punch it to stop the momentum from the leap. There'd be a risk to it since if you miss you'd collide with the enemy and get hit.

But goomba stomping would make a good secret mechanic.

Hear me out. Normally, the trigger pulls out your knife so that you can throw it. What if instead, the trigger "grabs" the air so that you can throw yourself just like with ladders and wall rings? You could do this while on the ground, or once in the air if you hit an enemy, so you can hit the eyes of the beast and then fling yourself back to not take damage. Damage would be proportional to speed, so a good fling could do some hefty damage and you could just hold your fist out in front of you rather than attempting a janky swing last second.

Nerfed version is that all walls become flingable surfaces, but not the air. You'd be spiderman without webshooters basically.
