#Pair of Gauntlets

(This is a reworked idea of my original concept.)

Two large gauntlets with a hex of some kind on them. Melee damage comes from punching.

Ranged Ideas for this weapon:

1.) Pressing the secondary weapon button (LT/RT) spawns a magic ball which can be punched in the direction you want it to go.

2.) Pressing and holding the secondary weapon button charges up a projectile (hadouken/kamehameha) and would have some kind of visual indicator when it's charged. Releasing the button would fire the projectile.

If the devs see this, I will owe you my life if you add them- all I want is some kind of boxing/punching weapon PLEASE 😭

Also, if you guys ever add a weapon update that includes like 2+ new weapons, I think they should be obtained through Insight

OR they could be obtained through completing special delves! Like, a pair of gauntlets for punching makes so much sense for the berserker!

in addition: the Gauntlets would do melee knockback every second or third attack on medium/large enemies to allow for small combos. one of my least favorite parts of doing fist-only runs in the main game is actually knockback, since you can't follow up a right jab with a left hook without having to move forward again

but i think the gauntlets should only parry if you punch with them, but you can block by holding your arms up to your face (like blocking in boxing)

plus if a projectile hits the sword or dagger while it's completely still the projectile just hits it and doesn't get parried

so you have two fully charged gauntlets, punch with one and it resets, but the other stays charged

since weapons can be found in the dungeon now, i think it’d be neat if the gauntlets could be found in one of the mines

agreed! the reason that's not the "ranged" option though is because weapons need some way to consistently damage the Beast when you reach it, and relying on environmental luck isn't exactly consistent. it would be cool as an upgrade or side thing though! i just know other gauntlet concepts make it so that using your environment is the only ranged option, and that just wouldn't work for the final boss.

tbf that's actually why i didn't, i think providing the basic idea for the suggestion then leaving anything else up to devs (should they consider adding it to the game) is a lot better than coming up with everything and leaving nothing up to interpretation
