-Silk Orb, tangles nearby enemies in a spider web for 10 seconds

-Golden Orb, all nearby pots and crates are guaranteed to contain gold

-Septic Orb, creates a puddle of goo that massively debuffs nearby enemies and slightly buffs you

-Inferno Orb, creates a fire tornado that will suck in enemies and do heavy damage before launching them away

-Rubble Orb, causes stone spikes to come from the ground (like the rock slimes from mines) in all directions dealing high damage starting from where the orb was smashed

-Shadow Orb, creates a clone of yourself that looks like a ghost, your clone will attack enemies in the same room as you but will vanish after you leave the room

-Dilation Orb, stops time for 5 seconds

-Architects Orb, throw it at a wall or bookshelf to create a secret room like the ones you get from errant entrances

-Kinetic Orb, deals huge knock back to all enemies as well as minor damage

-Icicle Orb, causes a huge icicle to fall on wherever the orb breaks

-Overgrown Orb, causes damaging thorns to grow randomly from where the orb breaks

hijacking that idea to say Architect's Orb could instead produce a breakable object like a bookshelf or stack of boxes, as a way to throw down a small amount of cover to block projectiles once

i think a single piece of cover fills its niche very well
