This is my suggestion corner where I will post my ideas! Here are a few relics I thought of to start it off:

Pint Glass: increases fist damage by 200%, but removes your melee weapon
Suspicious Fungi: projectiles will leave a cloud of noxious gas (similar to noxious orbs)
Bubonic Plague: massively increases all stats, but in 7 minutes you will die (a timer will appear next to your map indicating how much time you have)
Ninjutsu Mark: when triggered, you will become invisible for 5 seconds
Foraging Licence: plants can contain loot
Generational Hatred: your damage against a random enemy is tripled
Sharpening Stone: projectiles can infinitely pierce enemies
Rubber Armour: enemy projectiles will bounce off you, your evasion for projectiles is increased by 20%
Energy Transfers: your projectiles can bounce off walls and enemies
Overdose: whenever an enemy is killed, they have a 25% chance to explode with the effects of a random orb
Green Light: your speed is greatly increased, so is the speed of all enemies and enemy projectiles
Venomous Mark: when used, your next 3 attacks will deal poison damage (poison will be enough to kill most enemies)
Shuffled Deck: future floors will have the enemies and boss fight of a different floor (apart from the beast's cradle)
Blindfold: gain 3 protection hearts, but you can no longer see your hp
Spider Silk: there is a 25% chance that enemies will be shortly trapped by cobwebs after every melee strike

Ale Item:
Ale would increase all of your stats for about 1 minute, while under the effects of Ale, your vision becomes blurrier and audio becomes more muffled.

The first time you drink Ale, nothing negative happens to you, but the second time the effects will become slightly less potent, and the third time you will actually take damage as well as the stat boosts.

Ale can be found in pots and crates, with the same rarity as keys

Suggestion #3
10 New Orb Ideas:
-Silk Orb, tangles nearby enemies in a spider web for 10 seconds

-Golden Orb, all nearby pots and crates are guaranteed to contain gold

-Septic Orb, creates a puddle of goo that massively debuffs nearby enemies and slightly buffs you

-Inferno Orb, creates a fire tornado that will suck in enemies before launching them away

-Rubble Orb, causes stone spikes to come from the ground (like the rock slimes from mines) in all directions dealing high damage starting from where the orb was smashed

-Shadow Orb, creates a clone of yourself that looks like a ghost, your clone will attack enemies in the same room as you but will vanish after you leave the room

-Dilation Orb, stops time for 5 seconds

-Architects Orb, throw it at a wall or bookshelf to create a secret room like the ones you get from errant entrances

-Kinetic Orb, deals huge knock back to all enemies as well as minor damage

-Icicle Orb, causes a huge icicle to fall on wherever the orb breaks

-Overgrown Orb, causes damaging thorns to grow randomly from where the orb breaks

Suggestion #4
5 New Insight Upgrades:

Deep Pockets, you gain +1 inventory space on your non dominant hand, can be upgraded once for an extra space on both hands

Mustard Gas, orb damage is massively increased

Power Attack, if you hit hard enough, enemies will be stunned by melee attacks

Lizard Limbs, after being revived, you will have a protection heart

Hawk Sense, hold X to make traps and enemies visible through walls and glow

Suggestion #5
GLOVES:
Gloves would be a new type of cosmetic you could equip, they would show up on your hands as they are gloves. Here are some glove ideas:

Leather Gloves, basic gloves

Fingerless Gloves, gloves with finger holes

Mittens, for when you're feeling Christmasy

Diamond Ring + Rolex, very snazzy, there will be a button where the colour option would be to change how many rings you have

Brass Knuckles, put em up!

blazing heron
fair mesa
#

Can't belive there's already a relic that makes projectiles do a different form of damage

fair mesa
#

What did I do? joesob2

fair mesa
#

It has the same effects of noxious orb

blazing heron
#

which it a different color of dot

fair mesa
#

Huh?

blazing heron
#

the noxous orb creates a damaging cloud

fair mesa
#

Yes

blazing heron
#

the fungus relic that already exits, creates a damaging cloud in the trail of the projectile

fair mesa
#

My bad chat

blazing heron
#

dot is damage over time btw

fair mesa
#

But it is different isn't it? It doesn't make the cloud in the trail it makes the cloud upon impact

blazing heron
fair mesa
#

Yh

#

Like noxious orb

SUGGESTION #6
More Beast's Cradle Enemy Ideas

  1. Armoured Skeleton that can only be attacked in the small gaps between different pieces of armour

  2. Spiders that jump and latch onto your body/hands and will do 1 damage every 3 seconds until they are removed

  3. Rock Golem that moves and attacks very slowly, but has a lot of health and does double damage

blazing heron
fair mesa
#

Probs

#

But then again

#

That section is piss easy

blazing heron
#

it is basically a projectile that if you get hit you can get hit again

fair mesa
#

Maybe increase the time from 3 to 5 seconds

#

I think that's fair

blazing heron
#

or it could just jump through you dealing damage if it touches you

fair mesa
#

That's less interesting

#

Honestly i don't think 1 damage every 3 seconds is that bad

blazing heron
#

also spiders are a problem for people with arachnophobia

fair mesa
#

Even on ng+

fair mesa
#

But also

#

There ARE other enemies

#

That I talked about

blazing heron
fair mesa
#

Good point

#

On their own they wouldn't be too bad

#

But if there are a lot it becomes impossible to manage

blazing heron
#

the only way I would be ok with them is if they glowed bright and had a special damage effect or sound for latching on

fair mesa
#

Maybe they just aren't necessary

#

That section of the fight doesn't need four enemies anyway

#

Just two or possibly three

SUGGESTION #7
Trap Ideas:
Cracked Bricks, sometimes large parts of the floor will give way when stepped on, causing you to fall into a pit (can be triggered by projectiles)

Serrated Handles, small chance for climbing rings to have spiked edges that will deal damage to you if you try and grab onto them

Rubble Chambers, if you see a tripwire on the ground, make sure to cut it with your sword, dagger or projectiles, if you step on the tripwire then the ceiling will open up, allowing rubble and boulders to fall ontop of you, crushing you (you will also have to push it out of the way if it blocks your path)

orchid crane
#

There are sections of the floor that fall already
