I don't fight the deranged adventurer too often but recently I've noticed that once you kill him his stick seems to fly out of his hand at light speed and bounces all over the room with low gravity.
It also still damages you if you touch it.
It's not a massive issue because you can just avoid the stick when he dies but I'm assuming you're not meant to be damaged by a stick on the ground XD
