In short, the death barrier would simply be replaced with a barrier that returns you to the last spot you were standing.
My reason is that the only time you'd encounter the Death barrier besides the Death Pit barrier is when you fall through the floor or some other glitch occurs that sends you out of the map, and you shouldn't have to die and lose a run just because RNGesus said so.
#Death barrier below the map should instead be a teleport barrier.

That's extremely odd then, because when I had the glitch falling through the floor I died after I fell for like a few to several seconds, not get teleported back
That's definitely a bug then
