6 hearts of health at the cost of slower movement.

The paladins wield a hammer and shield.

The hammer can be thrown, and the shield allows a dash (much like the doom shroom and king slimes) that deals damage and knock back, however, doing this will cause it to shatter, with a cool down appearing on the hand it is used on (much like a mark but kills aren't required) doing this renders it unusable for a short while as it rebuilds itself.

You can also use the shelf to block damage, but this chips away at it's durability, until the shattering phase occurs.

This can only be unlocked after beating 3x hard mode with both the crossbow and sword.

The lack of mobility provides greater difficulty with evasion, meaning players will have to get creative with how they tackle bosses.

It regens after being chipped away similar to how a bow would come back

So if a enemy collides they take damage, or if you hit them they take damage, both cause the shield to chip

I bring this up because I would like there to be balance in the classes, where one is ranged, and the other is melee, to support both play styles since both are in the base game

We still haven't really thought about if we want to have multiple spells or just one base spell that changes based on how long you charge it or something else

Please consider the paladin class to balance the eventually inequality in the class types.

(By the way from here on, we could probably group classes into two groups, being melee and ranged, just a thought)
