I was thinking that since the dungeon already has cracked secret walls and cracked secret ceilings, why not have the same thing with the floors? I was thinking that to suddenly fall through the floor and into a room with a relic would be very undertale-esque, while also being a good jumpscare. The only issue I can see with it is how to get back up or if enemies are already down there, my solution to that is the same with the trapdoors idea, either put a ladder, climbing rocks or chains, or you can find a second way back to the dungeon through another secret, like a secret in a secret, either way is cool and effective, and it has a feature with the teleport/motion sick option enabled that makes the sinkhole sound when you fall in, and just teleports you to the sinkhole room and turns your screen dark when you fall, so that you dont actually fall, that way people with motion sickness dont get left out, of course i think the trapfloors should be in longer hallways as to not have enemies chase you through it, although that could be a good escape too, let me know what you think about this idea

inside the room could be relics or lore or even just a regular room with traps and enemies, but the reason i wanted to use this is to give a good scare and to have more opportunities for other people to come up with ideas to implement additional features onto this one, because i know that a lot can be done with a surprise room

Personally I'm against this for the reason that it's very unpleasant for the floor underneath you to suddenly fall away. A lot of people (including me) are already not too steady when standing in VR, can guarantee you that someone will fall over because of something like this if you can't expect it and it takes you by surprise. This would also not be great for teleport movement and for speedrunning.

i guess the secondary idea for what the room could be used for would be for the trapdoor idea instead
