If the entire video is crackling, your audio drivers need updating, you have an external audio mixer trying to mess with sound, or your headphones are plugged into a jack that has a lot of static, or is going bad.

If it's just the beginning like a pop at the start of the video when you switch scenes. Add 0.5 - 1 sec at the start of your video with no sound or video. Then tell your video to fade in for that time, it shouldn't initialize the sound harshly anymore.
