with games like Rust and Counter-strike, you have to use capture screen rather than application

it can be hit or miss, i had the same issues with Destiny 2

also switch your game to window/borderless/fullscreen can sometimes trigger something

if you have multiple monitor, make sure you have your game in the same monitor as twitch studio first, capture it, then move it to the 2nd monitor.

i've had stream go black because windows toggled HDR on... twitch studio doesn't have the codecs for HDR, so you may want to check that also
