Can you go to settings, audio, change your mic to something else then switch back? Also tried a few other mics you see on the list
I just tried with another headset, the problem is still here.
the microphone icon doesn't appear in my taskbar when I use twitch studio, it is a hint about the issue ?
what kind of headset? 3.5mm or USB?
3.5mm
after plugging it in, goto the audio settings, and change the mic
are you using the right jack?
or is it a laptop with a multi functional headphone jack
no change at all ๐ฆ it's the front jack of my tower
audacity can use my microphone so it's not from the microphone itself
hyperx cloud with split cable
what is the microphone name in the other app?
do you see the same name in twitch studio?
please post some screenshots
if you have set it to the default windows mic, then you should be able to use "default mic" from the twitch studio audio settings
Sorry it's with french language but you should recognize
okay I have some change
audacity doesn't want to use my microphone, it get an error everytime
3.5mm is not hyper x though
try restart pc
I restarted my PC several times since I have that issue :/
cloud headset
hyper x headset also has a mic right?
yeah a mic you plug inside it
but you are trying to use another mic instead
it's like this
my headset have a single jack plug (with both mic and sound) that I plug inside a cable splitter (the thing on the bottom left corner)
okay
then I plug the green and pink cable in the two jacks
Make sure the splitter is in the right port on the PC. Input and output have different 3.5mm plugs. Also, try plugging your splitter into the back of your PC, the front cable going to the motherboard may have gotten unplugged over the years.
windows can use my mic and I see the bar moving when I speak
it's just twitch studio that doesn't want to use my mic ๐
thanks for your help by the way both of you ๐
yes it's the only mic plugged right now, i removed my bluetooth headphones
can you check if it's default?
after that, open twitch studio and check audio settings
try changing it to something else
okay i'll try with soundore life p3
also bottom left of the app, there's a mic icon, is it crossed out?
change the mic back to the hyper x mic
there should be 2.. 1 with the default and 1 without
try both
no change
I think twitch studio just doesn't want to use any input mic
regardless of which one is plugged or default
do you use anti virus software?
just windows defender
No parameters in my antivirus that could block my microphone so far
the windows privacy is ON too
FIXED ! it was indeed "allow desktop apps to access your microphone"
it was too low in the list i didn't see it
thanks for your help folks
Do you remember turning it off? I believe default is on.
