Hi There, I have tried this evening to setup my Logitech C920 with the Twitch Studio software. When I add the layer and the webcam I can see my C920 light up but the preview screen stays black, I can select it and it shows as active but is just a black box with no image. I have tried OBS and such and it displays the webcam fine. Ive unistalled all other software and made sure the webcam isnt disabled. Has anyone got any ideas? 🙆♂️

in the webcam layer, turn off auto optimize and try adjusting the camera manually
make sure no other apps are using the camera
I have turned that off and tried adjusting the resolution but no luck. I have tried opening the Logitech software and it says its in use, I close down Twitch Studio and it turns on. Really strange :/
!webcam do you have another webcam layer in other scenes?
My webcam doesn't work
- Windows only allows one application to use your webcam at a time. Make sure that Twitch Studio is the only thing using it.
- Make sure bottom left webcam icon is not crossed out
- Try remove and re-add the webcam layer
- Try replugging your webcam
- Report a !bug
I'm trying to use NVIDIA Broadcast but my webcam is showing up as black
- We're working on making the experience of using Twitch Studio with NVIDIA Broadcast more seamless, but at the moment you will have to manually choose a camera resolution in Broadcast that matches the one currently set in Studio. If your webcam still fails to appear after making this change, try restarting the app or refresh with "F5"
No other scenes, ive even deleted all the scenes and tried re-setting up. It picks up the microphone on the webcam fine as well just doesnt display a picture.
It worked previously on my old computer but now with me setting it up on my new computer it isnt working
did you click the "turn off camera" icon?
and the layer is not hidden or behind another layer
Ive only seen the bottom left button for disabling/enabling camera and it isnt disabled. I dont think so as I setup a new twitch account so its fresh with nothing loaded
when the auto optimized is turned off, what options did you see?
It showed me the resolution, frames per second and format I think
I tried changing the resolution lower, couldnt change the frames, im not sure what the format was but there was three options I could choose from
change the format
Okay, ill give that a go. How can I check there is no hidden scenes etc?
make sure the webcam is on top of the other layers
Okay, ill take some pics etc and show you as well. As I said it worked perfectly on my other PC but this new one just doesnt want to work 🤣
if you need to post screenshots here. please head over to #roles and pick up your windows role
I have just done it, I think
You definitely have your webcam selected and not the virtual camera by accident?
Definitely selected the Logitech C920, so strange 😪
This is the screen I see
When I turn optimise off
Pixel format. Try changing it
Okay so try changing it from MJPG to PixelFormat?
that's what I have been asking you to try
I have tried changing it from MJPG to H264 but it reverts back
Hope you dont mind a video, it is a little easier than pictures
!webcam if you have tried everything and it's still not working, please submit a bug report

Okay, I really dont know what is happening. Do I do the bug report through the Twitch website?
!bug
How to submit a bug report
- If you're in the app, "Help" button is in the upper right, then choose "Report a Bug"
- Alternatively, you can click the hamburger menu in the very upper left corner, then click Help > Report Bug
- Please give us as much information as possible - describe in detail what is wrong and what you've already tried
Select auto optimise then unselected auto optimise it may allow you then to change the settings manually. This normally works for me.
I have already tried unselecting & reselecting but still stays blank. I have submitted a bug report & support ticket through Twitch, just want this to work 😪
as for the workaround, use an app that will show your webcam, then add a screen share layer to capture that app.
