Hi There, I have tried this evening to setup my Logitech C920 with the Twitch Studio software. When I add the layer and the webcam I can see my C920 light up but the preview screen stays black, I can select it and it shows as active but is just a black box with no image. I have tried OBS and such and it displays the webcam fine. Ive unistalled all other software and made sure the webcam isnt disabled. Has anyone got any ideas? 🙆‍♂️

in the webcam layer, turn off auto optimize and try adjusting the camera manually

#

make sure no other apps are using the camera

My webcam doesn't work

  • Windows only allows one application to use your webcam at a time. Make sure that Twitch Studio is the only thing using it.
  • Make sure bottom left webcam icon is not crossed out
  • Try remove and re-add the webcam layer
  • Try replugging your webcam
  • Report a !bug

I'm trying to use NVIDIA Broadcast but my webcam is showing up as black

  • We're working on making the experience of using Twitch Studio with NVIDIA Broadcast more seamless, but at the moment you will have to manually choose a camera resolution in Broadcast that matches the one currently set in Studio. If your webcam still fails to appear after making this change, try restarting the app or refresh with "F5"

You definitely have your webcam selected and not the virtual camera by accident?

How to submit a bug report

  • If you're in the app, "Help" button is in the upper right, then choose "Report a Bug"
  • Alternatively, you can click the hamburger menu in the very upper left corner, then click Help > Report Bug
  • Please give us as much information as possible - describe in detail what is wrong and what you've already tried

Select auto optimise then unselected auto optimise it may allow you then to change the settings manually. This normally works for me.

as for the workaround, use an app that will show your webcam, then add a screen share layer to capture that app.

I guess your device doesn't have any options. Did you disable the webcam? (check the bottom left camera icon)
