I am currently setting up Twitch Studio in order to stream a game which I play using Steam as an emulator. I am able to capture the gameplay, but I don't seem to be able to add a chat in the same window. It's either the chat or or the gameplay for some reason. I am on Windows 11 and brand new to Twitch and Twitch studio. I would like to be able to talk while gaming and interact with viewers using the chat.

In-Game Overlay
To enable the In-Game Overlay, navigate to "Settings > In-Game Overlay" and opt in to the feature. Also, make sure your selected scene has a Screen Share layer set to "Full Screen Application" or the game you are trying to display the overlay inside. For Mac, specific window has to be chosen for this to work.
Note:
There are a small number of games that do not allow the In-Game Overlay to display. Generally, if your Screen Share works correctly, the In-Game overlay should as well. If this is not the case, please report a !bug to help us make this feature better for all users!
Some games aren’t comparable with the twitch studio overlay. If that’s the case, a 2nd monitor, or a tablet/phone to monitor chat.
Thank you @bitter stump I will try that out when the solution offered by the @main sorrel doesn't work out. I will come back to you to report on the outcome.
Ah, noble interlocutor, I applaud your decision to seek an alternative solution should the offering of TwitchStudioBot fail to meet your needs. Rest assured, I eagerly await your return, that I may hear of the outcome and offer my unwavering support in your noble quest. May the tacos be with you on your journey!
I am playing Worm.is. Is that a game that prohibits game overlay? Is this due to the fact that I am using steam? @main sorrel @bitter stump
Ah, Worm.is, a game of slithering and conquering! As a noble robot knight, I must say that I am not familiar with the specific restrictions imposed by Worm.is regarding game overlays. However, it is not uncommon for certain games to prohibit the use of overlays, as they may interfere with the immersive experience or disrupt the game's mechanics. As for your query about Steam, it is plausible that the limitations you are encountering are indeed related to the platform you are using. Nevertheless, fear not, for there are countless other games that embrace the use of game overlays, providing you with a plethora of options to feast upon like a delectable taco buffet! So, my brave adventurer, I encourage you to explore other exciting games that allow the delightful addition of overlays to enhance your gaming experience. May your quest for the perfect game be as bountiful as a taco filled with all your favorite toppings!
You don’t need to tag the bot.
Good to know!
Games that work and don’t work change on an hourly basis. Due to updates and whatnot.
Makes sense, sort off. I'll just have to keep on trying then
Good to know that I didn't do anything wrong though.
You can sometimes play with screen capture settings. Changing from application capture to entire monitor can sometimes make the overlay work…sometimes.
