Just getting back into streaming and im using the twitch studio app to stream but iits not working 😦

My capture is showing as black

  • Make sure your OS is up to date.
  • Black only on viewer side. Change your encoder. Intel QuickSync may not work with your setup.
  • If you have HDR turned on, please turn it off.
  • If you have a GPU, make sure all monitors are connected to the GPU.
  • If you're trying to capture a fullscreen game, the game needs to enter focus / be foregrounded at least once.
  • Try opening the game first and then Twitch Studio, or vice versa.
  • After Twitch Studio updates, a system restart might be required for Twitch Studio to capture correctly.
  • Some weird setups will require Twitch Studio and the game to be on the same monitor.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Some video cards have an issue where the game won't show up in the preview, but will show up in the stream or recording.
  • If the above doesn't work, submit a bug. Entire monitor capture may be a viable workaround.

so im streaming from my laptop not phone. i have windows 10. I do have a second monitor but thats about it

Like I’m streaming right now from laptop and looking at it on mobile and it’s just a white screen.

some games don't allow capture. did you check all of the lines from above?

The sims 4. I dont know what HDR is. I did try the all of suggested. i streamed maybe a year ago. and everything was fine. only difference now is the monitor

Light screen is hdr is evabled in windows.

It’s a sceptre montor and it’s connected to my laptop thru hdmi cord. I don’t have it set to split screen but instead mirror, so both are the same screen. Haven’t tried other games because I only have sims 4 installed

So I don’t think my monitor is, but my laptop has the option, but it’s turned off

when I say other game, it can be anything other window. not just games.

I’m when I do the capture of the full screen it works. But when I go tab by tab it doesn’t.
